A Mantra a Day Keeps The Doctor Away
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have had to talk yourself into doing something. It could be in the middle of a big race just as you are about to hit a PR, or even simply not to lose your mind when life gets crazy, or even talking yourself into something that is completely and utterly terrifying.
Merriam Webster defines a mantra as the following:
a sound, word, or phrase that is repeated by someone who is praying or meditating. : a word or phrase that is repeated often or that expresses someone’s basic beliefs.
I have a lot of mantras that I use on a daily basis. When the kids are driving me crazy it’s usually something along the lines of “God made me their mama for a reason” or “It’s almost bedtime” (it totally doesn’t matter that I say this first thing in the morning too) these are mantras that work for me.
When I’m running and feel completely out of gas, or unable to finish, my mantra is always “just keep moving”. I know if I keep repeating this to myself and pushing forward I will get to my destination (eventually).
Mantras are so important to my sanity. Repeating phrases to myself is not only calming but it helps me focus and see past the emotion.
The lovely folks at Momentum Jewelry sent me a bracelet to wear that says one of my favorite sayings: “Live every day with intention”. I had heard so many awesome things about Momentum Jewelry from my dear friends that are ambassadors, so I was excited to try it because I am such a fan of arm candy.
I am happy to report that as a card carrying member of the small wrist club the bracelet fits perfectly. One thing I love about the bracelets is that you can choose the color of your band which comes in handy when you want to coordinate with your outfit. Because the bracelet wraps as many times as you need, the fit is perfect and comfy every time.
There are so many sayings available including “RUN 26.2” and “DIG DEEP”. There have been many races and impossible training runs that I have needed instant inspiration–now all I have to do is look down at my wrist or on my shoes for instant motivation!
Live Every Day With Intention has a special significance for me because it reflects in my food choices, my career choices and pretty much everything else. I’ve never been a person that believes in wasting time–so having this on my wrist is a pretty great reminder.

What a pretty bracelet, and a fantastic mantra. The closest thing I have to a mantra is "The hardest things in life are the most rewarding." Then again, 'Work hard, play harder' is a pretty good one too!

I love motivate wraps!! They are the best. I'm so excited for warm weather running so they're easier to see, lol. My favorites for this training cycle have been 'Believe, Endure, Achieve' as well as 'Earned, Not Given.' I also have one of their foot notes reading 'Dig Deep,' which is definitely a mantra I use when the going gets tough in a race.

I love Momentum! I am all about the mantras. I really truly think they help. Sometimes I don't even need a set one, I just come up with one of the spot and say it over and over. :)

I start each day with a thank you to God because I have to stay positive in my crazy world. I have to be thankful for what I have. Love the bracelet!
