Party City Donates Costumes To Cancer Survivors
Who is excited for Halloween tomorrow?!
Last weekend Party City invited my family to be a part of what was an amazing day for the Childhood Cancer Foundation Candlelighters NYC. The kids were invited to pick any costume they wanted and we were there to witness all of the greatness.
Candlelighters NYC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families get through the difficult times when a child is diagnosed with, and being treated for, cancer They assist through all stages: discovery, diagnosis, treatment and remission. They believe that no family should have to fight cancer alone. Candlelighters NYC offers tons of different services to families all over the 5 boroughs.
The boys were particularly excited to go to the event because let’s be honest, who doesn’t LOVE going to Party City?! They go completely crazy in that place.
The patients were “set free” to pick the costume that they wanted and they went completely crazy trying on all of the amazing costumes, but it was also the cutest thing ever.
“Halloween is a time for fantasy, and when kids can escape reality, if even for a day,” said Gerry Rittenberg, Executive Chairman of Party City Holdco Inc. “Party City is committed to all children being able to enjoy the excitement of Halloween and I was honored to partner with Candlelighters NYC to provide these deserving kids the chance to dress up. One mom even said, “It was the first time I’ve seen my daughter smile all week!” “Our experience at Party City was so much fun! Evie and Norah got to pick their own costumes – they chose princess costumes, of course! We were greeted with smiles and hugs, and the generosity was endless!” said parent Holly Call-West. — Yahoo.com
The boys even got to pick out costumes for themselves! They were SO excited especially because my little, Jacob has a serious obsession and admiration for cops!
This was a fantastic event and we were so happy to be a part of it! For more information on Candlelighter’s NYC click here.
