Summer is finally here, and when you live in NYC especially Brooklyn and you have kids, that usually means that you will be spending a lot of time at the Historic Coney Island and especially Luna Park.
We personally go at least once every two weeks–it’s one of our favorite places to spend the day. There is good food, the beach, AND fun rides for the entire family. My kids absolutely love the place and they have yet to get tired of it.
Coney Island Family Blogger Day
We were invited to the Coney Island Family Blogger Day for the third year in a row. We tried to keep it a surprise but the minute we got on the Q train they knew exactly where we were going! What I absolutely love about the Coney Island Family Blogger Day is that we get to hang with our favorite blogger families and learn more about what is new for the park each year. There are more and more additions yearly, so it’s great to learn and share with you what is new!
We were treated to breakfast and some awesome swag as well as a presentation about what will be happening during the 2017 season. The best feature is that now there is an ALL DAY LONG pass that is available for kids and adults. This is really awesome because we have spent all day long in Coney Island many many times. Previously there was a 4 hour band, but now that there is an all day long option we can take the boys nice and early and have them wear themselves out all day. Or even if we wanted to take breaks to go to the beach, arcade or even eat–they can jump right back on the rides afterwards.
It’s pretty incredible how theme parks never get old to these two. Except this year we expanded our rides to include some of the bigger boy rides for my eldest. I am such a scaredy cat and would LOVE for them to stick to the kiddie rides, but alas, they are growing up.
My little is still not tall enough to ride the bigger rides so he stuck to his favorites like the tug boat, the mermaid ride and of course the train.
NYC’s Summer Fun Destination
In addition to the beach, the rides at Luna Park, The infamous Wonder Wheel and the great food–there is also the summer baseball fun of the Brooklyn Cyclones that have themed games throughout the season! On June 25th, there is a Paw Patrol night and my little guy can’t wait to go!
