The spectacular show that was the Kia Media Reception
So many times I think that I’ve seen all the things and nothing can top the incredible events I’ve been to. Then I mosey into a beautifully decorated event space that reminded me of the one time I found myself on a desert in Israel. In the entrance I was surrounded by a vividly beautiful Mediterranean style carpet, pillows and decor. I had stepped into a beautiful oasis.
I had stepped into Rio.
The New York International Auto Show is in town this week and it’s a pretty big deal around here. Every car brand you can think of is showing off their best cars and their best yet to come. I was excited to attend the Kia reception because I knew that I would get to see the Rio up close and personal.
I actually wasn’t ready for all the fun that was being had once I stepped through those doors! The DJ was incredible spinning tunes, there were different food and drink stations all around, plus places to lounge, eat and network. It had been transformed to the coolest place in NYC and I was lucky to have a ticket! I also knew I was in for a special treat after spending time in the Kia Suite at the Knicks game a few weeks ago!
Although I attended the event by myself I was excited to see fellow bloggers and meet new bloggers that had come into town just to enjoy the Kia Motors experience.
The Kia Rio Features
Some of the standard features on the Kia Rio Sedan includes:
Rear disc brakes
Electric power steering,
Six-way manual adjustable driver’s seat,
SiriusXM satellite radio,
USB and auxiliary audio jacks
Steering wheel mounted audio controls
Ever so often (about every 15-20 minutes or so) the music would die down and a performance would start. There were jugglers, a violinist that played current tunes, a African dance quartet (that I was completely blown away by) and more!
The food was really good. Yummy tapas from all over–I was partial to the Brazilian plates so I may have hung out over there (a lot). The drinks were also fantastic and delish.
It was such a fun space to hang, have fun and just dance for a bit. The folks at Kia really outdid themselves and did an excellent making me feel as if I was actually in Rio De Janeiro (I’ve never been but can we say bucket list?!).
Check out the video I made capturing all the fun!
