The Best Garlic Chicken Parmesan with Bowtie Pasta

This amazing garlic parmesan pasta dish is so good and easy to make for a quick dinner!

Ingredients

  • • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • • 1 cup purple onion, diced

  • • 1 cup chopped tri-colored peppers

  • • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • • 2 cups chicken broth

  • • 1/2 cup milk

  • • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • • 8 oz bow tie pasta

  • • salt, to taste

  • • pepper, to taste

  • • 1/4 -1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese

  • • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a large pan or skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add chicken cook until no longer pink.
  2. Add in onions and peppers and continue to cook until chicken is fully cooked through and browned.
  3. Stir in garlic, salt and pepper and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add uncooked pasta, milk, cream and chicken broth.
  5. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan.
  7. If the mixture is too thick, add more milk as needed until desired consistency is reached.

Notes

Try adding a frozen veggie medley to this dish! Add them when the liquids are added, stir and let simmer.
Keep an eye on the skillet while simmering, stir every 5 mins or so to make sure there is no sticking nor burning.
Add more milk or cream if the liquid evaporates out too quickly.
