It’s conference day!!
After an really hectic but magical day one I was excited to spend my first full day absorbing the conference and all it had to offer.
We had to report early (7am!) for breakfast at my favorite park, Hollywood Studios.
While we ate, it was so much fun catching up with bloggers that live in other states or just whom I haven’t seen in a long time. Can you believe I didn’t take not even one selfie?! I guess I was enjoying their company THAT much!
We sat down and listened to Michael Roddy, show director of the new Star Wars fireworks show that has arrived to Hollywood Studios. There are also tons of Star Wars fun features coming to Disney on the very near future, so if the force is with any of you I suggest you get down to Orlando, stat!! We even got to meet Darth Vader and Chewbacca! Darth was so angry at me, pacing around me and ordering me around. The cranky level was HIGH!
Next we boarded the busses back to the Yacht Club while our families had breakfast on the Boardwalk. It was such a relief to have them taken care of while I took care of business at the conference.
The Conference
It will be so hard to squeeze a full day of conference highlights but here goes!!
Highlights From The Day Include:
Disney Junior: Disney Junior has LOADS of new programming coming in the near future! Most of it I can’t discuss but let’s just say my four year old is going to LOVE it as we are still very much a Disney Jr. household.
Rivers of Light: If you have ever been to Animal Kingdom then you know that it generally closes earlier than all of the parks. Disney has added a new spectacular show to end the evenings and they held no punches! The level of detail included in the show is really out of this world, I hope I can come back to see it soon!!
Disney Blogs: I’ve already mentioned that the Disney Blog is one of my favorite blogs year round. We got to take closer peek into how they create content and how many people are involved in the process. There are so many cute videos and tidbits, if you are a Disney fan–you have to check it out!!
Finding Dory: Any Finding Nemo fans in the building? We got to preview 30 minutes from the new movie coming this summer Finding Dory. It’s been 12 years since Finding Nemo and oh my goodness was it worth the wait! I was in my feelings for a lot of it, not going to lie, but the story focuses on Dory and her journey to find her parents. I am itching for it to come into theaters because I was all the way hooked after the first half hour!
Alice Through The Looking Glass: Movie producer Suzanne Todd introduced us to Alice Through The Looking Glass except from a behind the scenes perspective. I couldn’t show you all the amazing effects but I was really intrigued by all of the special effects and hard work that had to go into a movie that visually stunning.
Dream Big Princess: One of my favorite parts of conference day! Disney has a new campaign aimed at instilling confidence in young girls based on the stories of popular princesses. I was all over this because I am a HUGE proponent of confidence builders in young women!

The conference was really a fun day of learning, and did I mention how well they fed us?!
After the conference we had just a few hours to spend with our families before the beach party so I met my guys over at Magic Kingdom and I was just in time for the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Parade:
Donald’s Beach Party
To close out a wonderful day of learning we were transported over to Typhoon Lagoon for Donald’s Beach Party. Although we weren’t riding any rides, the scenery was pretty awesome. The food was pretty good too!
We had the honor of meeting (my husband and I’s favorite characters) Donald and Daisy Duck as well as Chip & Dale.
Then there were fireworks…just for us. Could it get any better?
Day 2 of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration finally came to a close and we all wiped out really quickly but not before we got even more swag! Including books that the boys were crazy happy about!
Stay tuned for day 3 where I review our sneak preview of Alice Through The Looking Glass, Disney Springs, Hollywood Studios and I will share which ride was our favorite of all!

Did you slap Kylo Ren for what he did?? He knows what he did. By the way, I wonder if I saw the same fireworks show. It was in early February and it was at Hollywood Studios and it used John Williams music and it ROCKED! That said, we just got Disney Junior for the first time and we're excited about Elena of Avalor. What else?? I did a Dream Big Princess blog post and it was one of my favorites.

Did you say 7am......chile that's too early for me. I can barely make it to get these kids up for school but it looks well worth it though. I can't wait to see finding Dory!

Holy wow!! You were not kidding - this is a ton of highlights!! I absolutely cannot wait to see Finding Dory since Nemo is one of my favorite movies of all time, animated or not. I also love that Disney sees the importance of empowering women and young girls. They really are a magical company and I cannot wait to go back with the boys...or maybe a cruise...or maybe... :-)
