Back To School Best Bites With BabbleBoxx

Homework: check. Uniforms: check. One thing that I can never manage to get a grip on are snacks for the boys. Usually I’ll buy some of their favorites and by the end of the week, they are no longer interested. Or even better, I totally forget to buy said snacks and I end up scouring the fridge for a replacement.

Snacks are so sacred that they can never be missed, so that puts a lot of pressure on us moms to not only provide a good and healthy snack, but provide a good and healthy snack that the kids genuinely enjoy (aka doesn’t end up in the trash bin).

Today I’m partnering with Babbleboxx to share some of my new (and old) favorite snack options for kids, and quite frankly, for myself as well. Preparing for the transition back to school can be HARD but today I’ve got you covered!

Green Giant Veggie Tots

We all grew up with Green Giant vegetables, as a matter of fact, I have tons of Green Giant frozen veggies in my freezer as we speak! They have created a brand new way to sneak in veggies into kids meals without them even knowing! Introducing Broccoli & Cheese Veggie Tots!! Tater tots are very popular in this house so it’s awesome to get some veggies in with what is normally a super carby side dish.

You can get $1 off to try the Veggie Tots here: https://goo.gl/WjvujY

I have been obsessed with RXBARs for an insanely long time. The bars are so good! Every flavor is amazing. My favorite is the Mixed Berry!

RXBARs whole food protein bars are made with clean, simple ingredients: egg whites, fruits, and nuts.
Each bar is dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and contains absolutely no added sugars. So good for you AND the kids! (I may or may not be stashing these for myself!)

Advance Pierre PB Jamwich

When I pulled this one out of the box I was instantly in love. It’s the perfect snack for after school for the boys and it doesn’t require much from me on the preparation front. Plus the sandwiches are crustless which is perfect for my very picky eating older child.

The sandwich comes in grape, strawberry and banana flavors and is the perfect meal or snack for your littles! Find out more about these delicious treats here.

Entenmann’s Little Bites

These are already a household favorite so getting these in the box was a pleasant surprise! The baked snacks come in 10 varieties, they have zero trans fat, no high fructose corn syrup, and most varieties have less than 200 calories per pouch. Easy snack, or lunch side in the lunchbox.

The kids went for these immediately–as soon as I opened the box! Check out more about these snacks and the flavors at https://littlebites.com/

Sensible Portions Veggie Straws

Veggie Straws were also a very popular snack during the 2016-17 school year. I’d buy the big bag and put them in the individual sandwich bags. This time in addition to the Sea Salt flavor Veggie Straws that we are accustomed to we got to try out the Zesty Ranch flavor too! The Veggie Straws are made with delicious, wholesome, non-GMO ingredients that are gluten free, and contain no artificial flavors or preservatives. Perfect for any lunchbox!

Sour Punch: Real Rainbow Straws

I remember as a kid going to the corner store to buy the sourest candy I could find. Back then, I have no idea what ingredients I was ingesting–now we have a better for you option with Sour Punch! Their new Rainbow Straws now come with natural colors and natural strawberry, lemon, apple and tangerine flavors. There is also NO High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Fruit Shoot Fruit Punch Flavor

The drinks are just as important to the kids, and I really liked the Fruit Shoot drink!   Every bottle of Fruit Shoot is made with real fruit juice from concentrate, plenty of water and no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. It’s super delicious and easy to stick inside the lunch box.

I want to try the veggie tots. It’s a great way to sneak more veggies in that kids will actually eat. I love the idea of healthier snacks for kids.

Today is the first day of school for us and we’re just getting back into the swing of things. I know my kid a little of everything on this post for his lunch. We have to try a few of these in his lunch next week.

Entenmann’s Little Bites are a staple in my 5-year-olds diet. They are her favorite on the go breakfast treat. I’m currently buying up all the strawberry muffins they have left before the summer season ends.

When I buy snacks I usually buy them in bulk from BJs. Last year I let the school supply lunch and snack but I like to be able to know what they have and be sure that it’s fresh and healthy so I may go back to packing lunch and snacks. Our go to after school snack is usually Welches Fruit Snacks.
