After blogging for 6 plus years, I realized that I wanted to get from behind the screen more. I go to a lot of influencer events weekly and conferences throughout the year, but I have felt a bit of a hole since co-planning the A Healthy U Conferences in 2014 and 2015. Since I have been blessed to workout at some of the BEST fitness studios in the city, I decided to bring the workout to you–every month I will be hosting a FREE workout class for my readers sponsored by Premier Protein!
The first class of the series was held at Switch Playground USA! I was super nervouscited but I had a feeling it would be amazing because the last time I was there I had such a great time!
It was a super gross and cold rainy NYC day but it didn’t stop people from coming out to play on the playground! We all chatted for a bit and had a great time getting to know each other before class.
Once the doors opened we were excited because the instructors were full of energy and we were feeding off of them! We started class with a quick yoga flow and then it was off to the races. We all paired up with a partner and started at a preassigned station. The class has tons of different stations where you do two different workouts for 30 seconds each and then you SWITCH! It’s completely impossible to get bored because by the time you even start to think, you are moving on to a different station and working new muscles.
The instructors were SO great and so awesome throughout the class. I had my mom as my partner and she was incredible, quite honestly a lot stronger than I give her credit for.
By the time class concluded, I was pouring sweat and happy. It was the type of workout that pushes and challenges you just enough that you want to come back for more. The live DJ was on point too!
