This air fryer chocolate lava cake is so good and easy to make! Using simple ingredients, you can make these treats in no time for a yummy dessert!

It’s so secret that I love my air fryer. One night after days and months of staying home my husband randomly blurted out that he missed individual chocolate cakes.

You might think this was a random outburst, but if you know my husband this is super normal behavior. We had been on a random kick of recreating restaurant favorites, and this was top of the list!

The best part about these cakes is that they are made in individual servings. Add a scoop of ice cream and omg this is actually the perfect dessert.

It’s not too chocolatey either, just the perfect amount of richness and sweetness!

What do I need to make this awesome Air Fryer Chocolate Cake?

 –butter

 –chocolate chips 

eggs

-sugar

-self rising flour (not all purpose, this is a super important distinction and CAN’T be substituted or you might have a really flat “cake”)

When should I serve this air fryer chocolate cake?

When dinner parties become a thing again, I highly recommend these! Everything is pretty much made in one bowl, and it only takes a few minutes to make so you can serve them warm.

Otherwise, I’d serve them anytime. We make them often around here with for no reason at all other than they are so yummy! We always make sure we have vanilla ice cream on hand too because the combo is just so good!

Amazing Air Fryer Chocolate Cake
Yield: 4 small ramekins

Amazing Air Fryer Chocolate Cake

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

This air fryer chocolate cake is so good! It uses a few ingredients and it's done in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 7 tbsp butter
  • 1 c chocolate chips used dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 3.5 tbsp sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp self rising flour (NOT all purpose)

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave. Put in for 30 sec., stir, 30 sec. until it is melted and smooth.
  2. Whisk together eggs and sugar in separate bowl. Then whisk egg mixture and chocolate together until combined and smooth.
  3. Then mix in flour until smooth.
  4. Pour batter equally into 4 oven safe ramekins. Fill 3/4 full.
  5. Put in air fryer basket for 10 minutes at 370 degrees, then allow to cool for 2 minutes before flipping over on to plates (or eat right out of them but they will be hot).
