A few weeks ago I saw a meme that said “Motherhood is all about asking your child if you already had a snack, then giving them another one anyway” I immediately shared it to the Brooklyn Active Mama Facebook community because THIS IS MY LIFE.
My boys are constantly asking for snacks. If they are not eating actual meals they spend so much time asking me for snacks it’s criminal. Usually when I hear a certain type of “Mommy?” I already know that a food related question is coming. I’ve heard that raising boys can mean that they eat your wallet away but–man oh man–my grocery bills are insane!!
The very least I can do is make sure that the boys are getting super healthy snacks to tide them over until the next full meal. I’ve been taking the tips that I got from Olympian Amy Rodriguez when she shared her tips for raising healthy kids and I’ve been super intentional about not feeding them any old thing because I’m tired/annoyed/worn down.#ad How To Fight Off The Snack Monsters (aka your kids) @StonyField #Yokids #Organic
It’s super important to have good healthy snacks on hand to make sure their nutrition stays on point. Both boys love the Stonyfield Organic YoKids line of products because they are easy to access and the flavors are really good. (I am woman enough to admit that I have tried a few myself!)
Now when they ask for snacks, they know I will say yes immediately to the YoKids because it’s easy to give my kids non-gmo, certified organic yogurt that is good for them. Stonyfield Yokids has between 25% to 40% less sugar than the leading kids’ yogurt and with the insane amount of trashy snacks with no nutritional value, I want to make sure I give them good food that will work for their bodies in the long run. My little guy has one everyday as he heads to school for his “morning snack”. He has gotten so used to it that we ran out one morning ad he was upppppset. Guess who was at the grocery store a few hours later??
Handle the hungry snack monsters by giving them Stonyfield Organic YoKids!
