As we begin to approach the summer season, things are about to get really busy. Summer days usually leave little time for mom–we are so busy with travel, change of routine, boredom fighting and snack administration that the entire season can go by without taking care of ourselves. Today I’m sharing a few easy ways you can keep yourself radiant throughout the summer and beyond.
Get A Facial: This could mean jumping on Groupon to get a great facial deal nearby, or simply applying an amazing charcoal mask when the kids are in bed. Taking care of your face, especially your pores not only makes you feel beautiful in the moment, but it does a great service for your skin in the future. Trust me, you will thank me in a few years when everyone is asking your kids “Is that your sister?”
Volunteer: Giving back to your community in a way that you love is one of the most rewarding experiences you can ever treat yourself to! Every volunteer experience isn’t for everyone–I remember cleaning up park and being miserable–but food pantries and serving/cooking food for those in need is my JAM. There are so many ways to give back including reading to kids, working at senior centers, and so much more. The rewarding feeling is enough to keep you feeling radiant for weeks! (For extra points, find somewhere you can volunteer with the kids!)
Have A Planner: Whether it is digital or physical, have one place to keep all of your important appointments and dates. I started using a planner a few years ago when I decided to become an entrepreneur and it has been life changing for me. I keep everything in there from grocery lists, to the next blog post I want to write. We all have a ton on our plate and it can be so easy to forget a project (been there!) or even a important birthday. Figure out your planning system and keep your organized zen!
Hydrate Properly: I can’t stress enough how important it in to drink a proper amount of water every single day. I’m not talking orange juice, I’m not talking sweet tea, I’m talking plain water. it makes SUCH a huge difference in your skin and the way you feel. Dehydration won’t help any of your plans, in fact it can make you more irritable–and no one wants that! Drink your water, keep it close, you will feel and see a difference immediately.
Clean Out Your Makeup Drawer: This one is hard because I love all the makeup that I buy, but I need to be more honest about the expiration dates on my makeup. I don’t wear makeup everyday so I can easily have a palette for years–and that is no bueno. Don’t believe me? Another way to keep yourself radiant is to try the new Always Radiant products! I personally have experience so much change with my period since the beginning, and probably will continue to once the baby comes (that first never ending post baby period is SO FUN). Two new sizes have been added to the package so that you can find your perfect fit for your size and your flow, and the new packaging is super sophisticated and stylish.
What is really cool is that you can use the Using the Size Selector Tool, and easily find the right-sized pad for your unique monthly cycle. Always Radiant pads are up to 100% leak and odor free and the fabulous FlexFoam™ absorbs 10 times its weight for protection. The Always Radiant pads are available every day at Walmart’s low prices and you can visit RadiantlyStylish.com for more information.
