Weekly Wednesday Workout: Planks With Leg Lifts
Let’s get right back to the abs shall we? We got a good one today!

I do these once a week, these are no joke. The heart rate definitely gets going for these! Lately I have been varying my abs routine, so I incorporated these and do them for 30 seconds, then move on to the next exercise during the circuit. I am a fan of the plank in many variations but this one is a fun twist! I definitely think it is better when I am moving during a plank that way I am not staring at the clock–planking makes the seconds go by OH so slow!

Totally another one I miss with my back, but yes I used to do planks often before I had lower back issues. And I must admit I have been slacking int he working out department. Happens to me every year around this time with the holidays coming up and cold weather. Usually I find myself about 10 lbs heavier after the new year and then go back to working out religiously.
I know Janine 🙂 I am trying to stave off the extra holiday weight as well. Last year I baked so many cookies and did so much extra cooking. Not this year! And if I do, I’m giving it ALL away!

Me too. I’ve been setting time aside 3 times a week and I have seen some improvements!
I don’t know about you but I cannot do a plank without major shaking!!
I shake after the second one, I try to keep my mind elsewhere!

Ack, these are hard! Totally my favorite, though.. I’m a planker! You can walk into my house on any random day and catch me planking in front of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

I actually don’t mind doing planks, but I will say that this seems so much better than waiting for the clock to rock down.
Exactly why I love these. The seconds go by so SLOWLY when planking!!
No joke is definitely the truth! Planks are hard enough without adding twists like that. Looks like you’re getting into awesome shape if you’re doing them at least once a week. Good job!

I’ll try it…soon! I need to get into the habit of doing planks again. I actually don’t mind them…not sure why I stopped doing them.
They aren’t too bad, they good for your core!
