Happy Friday!!
How are you guys?! If you are in the NorthEast are you ready for snow? I am. In fact, I welcome it–sure the kids drive me nuts but I am so far behind on all my shows that I don’t mind a weekend of catching up!
Its time for Friday Fitness!!
It was a really good week fitness wise. Because of the long weekend I was able to go to a Peloton Cycle class in a Sunday! Not only that but it was a NFL themed 60 minute ride that was just extraordinary. The class was packed and our amazing instructor was recapping games for us while we pushed on the bike.
It was two of my favorite things spinning and football coming together in perfect harmony. I am officially obsessed with the Peloton Cycle life. I am putting it out there in the universe that I will get a Peloton bike in 2016 so that I can tap into a live class or on demand class anytime I want. Peloton Cycle = Bae.
Workouts of the Week
On Monday night I completed my first at home workout of 2016! While watching my favorite hip hop soap opera on VH1 I picked up my Kettlebells and put in work!!
Warmup
1 minute running in place
1 minute high knees
1 minute ankle touches
(By this time my heart rate was up!)
The following was done with a 15lb kettlebell
- 20 goblet squats
- 15 lunges on each leg
- 15 swings with both arms
- One leg bent over row (balance tester!)
- 15 single arm shoulder presses
I repeated that 3 times — it was tough!!
On Wednesday I was feeling pretty crappy but I went to workout anyway because the training miles for the race in 4 weeks has been minimal. I was able to get in a few miles and do some leg presses for the strong leg project.
Thursday I took my first CYC spin class. Review coming soon!!
I got inked!
So remember a few weeks before the marathon when I told you guys that I would get a tattoo to commemorate all of the blood, sweat and tears of my marathon? Well, I did it!
It was super easy! It didn’t hurt nearly as much as I expected and I love it so so much! I actually want one more tattoo and then I’m done. I think. 🙂
Wins of the week
- Worked out at home for the first time in a long time!
- Been super conscious about my sugar intake
- Worked out 4 times so far!
- Felt pretty great about my body all week.
How was your fitness and wellness week? Do you have any tattoos? If you were to get one what would you get? Don’t forget to share your wins of the week!!

Eeeeeep! LOVE LOVE LOVE so much! Perfect tattoo--careful, they can be addicting. I only have two but I've been daydreaming about another a lot lately...

I feel so bad that I'm reading this a week late! Hope your kids got to enjoy some of the snow. And I think that's probably the perfect tattoo...you worked so hard for that race. And I've heard the same thing about tattoos and marathons - once you've been bitten by the bug you just keep doing more and more.

I love that you got a tattoo to signify one of your biggest accomplishments. I hear tattoos as addicting thing so be careful there! Don't be so sure you'll only get one more next. Hehe! I don't have any tattoos of my own but I sure do admire the body art on others.
I actually enjoyed the blizzard in Jersey. I got some much needed yoga and stretching done in the comfort of my living room. Unfortunately, I was banned from shoveling by my husband since I'm pregnant. That also means I couldn't sip any wine while the flakes came down.

I don't have any tattoos nor do I have any interest in getting any, but I do love admiring them other people. And I seriously need to get back on track with my fitness. I've been slacking with my workouts since before the holidays and it's showing. My win for the week is getting better at my photography. I'm not a pro, but I'm seeing progress.

WOW. I'm not a tattoo person for me but I do appreciate them. Good one for you! Perfect. I had a decent workout week. And we're not supposed to ge the snow! Whew.
