Weekly Wednesday Workout: Downward Dog Leg Lift

Time to work those legs (and pretty much the rest of your body!)


I love yoga, but I am terrible at it. Last month when I took my first yoga class in ages, the instructor made me do this move. I thought I had serious upper body strength but somehow when I get into a downward dog position I am hurting! Add these leg lifts and the burn is real. What I like about the move is the stretch that comes with the move and the fact that we are using pretty much every muscle in the body. This is the perfect move to get your legs toned, strong and limber!

I was doing this repeatedly last week to try and work out my hamstring! This is one of my favorite yoga moves for sure!!

I took one yoga class a few years ago. I always say that I am the most non-flexible person I know, lol! I am working hard to tone my legs while on the Jaime Eason program though…I hope I become more flexible as I continue to work muscles that have been somewhat dead for the past few years.

This is also a great move for boosting circulation! It helps my swollen feet!

So, that looks ridiculous. I bet you were hurting big time after that workout! Iā€™d be lucky to finish one set, much less the whole 10 she recommends!
