Weekly Wednesday Workout: Back Bow Crossover

Today we are working on that lower back!

The thing that I love most about Pilates is that it makes us move our bodies in different and very unique ways. I don’t recommend this move to anyone who has back issues! I like this move because it forces me to pay attention to my lower back which barely gets any love. 🙂 Don’t be fooled however because this move is not easy! Make sure you get an object to go on either side of. It is one of those moves that seems super weird when you do it for the first time but gets better with practice.

I’ve never seen this! I will absolutely be trying this today (it’s a short run and strength day woot woot) and this will fit perfectly with my Runner 360 workout. Thanks Nellie!

Even before I read your disclaimer, I knew just by seeing the preview that this wasn’t going to work for me and my lower back issues, but still looks like a great exercise for those who can indeed do this.

I actually love this move! This one has always been a staple in dance classes I’ve taken in the past.

The lower back gets so little love in the exercise world, but is SO important. Thanks for the tip to use an object as a guide – I can’t wait to try it!
