Weekly Wednesday Workout: Toe Touches

Let’s get back to the ABS shall we? Although bikini season is over, this is the time to prepare for next!

Now that I have a personal trainer–details on that quagmire to come–he has got me doing all kinds of exercises in an attempt to switch up the game and really see some results. These toe touches are just one of the exercise that he puts me through and they are tough! Not recommended for those with back issues, but you can definitely start  with a few! The burn is so real though, you need some serious core strength and this is an awesome move to help build it up!

Have you ever tried Toe Touches?

When I read the title to the post I thought, “Toe touches, that doesn’t sound like Nellie.” Now I’ve seen the video and now I get it! Those are a tough one and I’ve not done the abs exactly like that before. Will give it a go!

Thanks, I like him too. He is very confident in my abilities. I needed that — bad!

Definitely couldn’t do those with my lower back problems, but seriously wish I could. Like I said, I always feel like if my back wasn’t an issue, I could do more exercises o firm that one part of me up!

You got time, but you might as well start working on it now!

I’ve tried the second version but not the first before. I actually think the first version might be a little harder, at least initially, because in the second version you can rely on momentum and less core strength.

The first version is the one that I am most familiar with!

This looks tough, but worth the challenge. I’m looking forward to adding this to my routine!

I can honestly feel that burn even without doing any. I know the feeling. It’s not always a bad feeling. I have never had back pain in my life. I see it all around me so I guess I’m lucky that way. I have to take advantage of it and do some good bendy things! Within reason, of course. I’ll still take care of it.

ha, I see plenty of bendy in your future.

I don’t even think I can do the beginner one. I was excited when I thought I was just going to be able to touch my toes from standing position which is a challenge in itself, but I think I can do.

haha, you can totally do this. My trainer made me do 3 sets of these!

That looks like one tough workout. I’m thinking of doing a whole month just focused on strength training, and I think this might have to be part of my routines!

Nellie October 20, 2013 - 12:32 am

That is gonna be awesome. You feel the burn almost immediately.

I’ll have to see how my back handles this. But sometimes I just need to do a few for a little while and I find my back starts to tolerate and get stronger.

Yeah be careful, don’t hurt yourself, there are plenty of abs exercises that you can do without being on the floor.

When I do them with my trainer he gets all kinds of side eyes. LOL.
