When we heard the Nickelodeon World Wide Day of Play was coming to NYC we knew we had to go again–you may remember we went two years ago and had a great time so it was a no brainer to attend again this year.
Nickelodeon was gracious enough to invite me as press which did things like allow me access to the Power Rangers! How cool is that?
When we arrived the park was just starting to fill up. The boys immediately made a beeline for the Fruit of the Loom area where we were gifted with free underwear and a water bottle for the boys. The play area was great too–it was fun watching the boys trying to navigate the “obstacle” course.
Afterwards we headed over to the trampoline area where they had an adult teacher doing mini classes throughout the day. Since it was a five and up class the eldest could only jump on and he loved it (he is no stranger to trampolines!).
Because they are true Brooklyn kids we had to make sure they got an icee!
One of my favorite areas of was the Connect Four area that made kids throw up balls to fill this huge life size game board. Every 5 minutes an attendant would release the balls and the madness would start all over again.
It was also nice to hang with the boys’ favorite characters!
I might have mentioned before how terrible I am at hula hooping–but it didn’t stop me from picking one up! The 3 year old didn’t have a clue what to do with this big orange thing but he found something to do!
We really had a great time, and I really appreciate Nickelodeon for bringing this back to Prospect Park every year!
