After 30 days I have completed my Fiber Choice Challenge. When I first started I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it–let’s be real I have a hard time sticking to anything for 30 days (except running!). With the busyness of every day life it’s so easy to forget about upping your fiber intake!
Having the chewy tablets on hand during my vacation was extra helpful because my vacation diet was out of the norm. Usually I can figure out the calories/carbs/fiber etc in my usual everyday foods but there is something about vacation food that you can’t really control. I knew for a fact that I was at the very least keeping up with my fiber intake by eating a few fruity chews a day.
What I learned from the challenge
A) I need to keep this going. Because of my surgery a few years ago I have had a ton of GI distress. I don’t talk about it much because I don’t want to use it as an excuse but using the supplement has definitely helped my situation.
B) My kids love it: They don’t know what it is but when they see me have one, they want one too. They think it’s candy, I know the real truth. (yes, I might have strategically taken out the bottle when there was a need, but they don’t need to know that!)
C) When there is a deficit, figure out a way to make it better: I have always known that I was Fiber deficient. Now I have an easy way to keep those levels up!
To help you keep track of your fiber intake you can join the Fiber Choice consumer challenge hosted on www.fiberchoice.com/consumerchallenge!
