FitBloggin 2016 Bound + A Huge Thank You!

As you are reading this I am galavanting in the Midwest for the first time! Fitbloggin has taken me east, west, south, west again and now midwest. I am excited to attend and present on how to be a consistent blogger. Full recap to come!

I was completely overwhelmed with the response to my post on Monday. I had been struggling with working at my former employer for a little while and I really couldn’t say much here until I had officially cut ties.

Things have been a lot better since. I’ve gotten a bunch of opportunities, I’ve landed my first official clients for BAM Digital and finally–I’m able to sleep again. I didn’t realize how bad my sleep life was until I quit. No more waking up at 2 am and not being able to fall back asleep. I now move at my own time, I work really hard all day but it’s ok because I love it.

I’m attending small business classes and learning that there is a TON that I have to learn about running my own business but I am the biggest sponge waiting eagerly to soak up all the knowledge.

It’s literally a new me.

One thing this life has allowed me is more gym time! So check out my fitness week, because it’s more than I’ve done in months!!

Marathon Training Week 5

Since my blink fitness is legit just a 5 minute walk from my house, it’s easy to get my workout on as soon as the kids are gone. I workout at about 7:15am everyday and I’m back with enough time to shower, eat and begin my workday.

Monday: 4 miles. My legs were fresh from a lack of a long run on Saturday so it was a good run.

Tuesday: Weights day!! I switched it up this time though. 20 minutes on the elliptical for a warm up. Then I did 100 kettlebell swings, pull-ups of the TRX and heavy ropes (so hard!). Let’s just say I was wiped!!

Wednesday: 4.5 miles. Started off with super lead legs and so sore from the day before but by mile 2 I felt normal again.

Thursday: I took a rest because everything hurt plus I knew I had a long day of travel ahead.

Friday: Miscellaneous workouts at Fitbloggin

Saturday: Miscellaneous workouts including teaching 2 songs at the annual Zumba fest!

After a busy and active week last week and not properly recovering from last weekend’s trail race and long run (oops!) I was pretty tired and sore this week. Looking forward to regrouping this weekend for the week ahead!

I drove through Indiana once, but not sure what cities. I do remember Gary. Cassidy said I slept through most of it. Boo on me.

Nellie, I can already see that at the time of this post you were feeling so much better. I love to see that you took a rest day because of your own decision and not as the result of outside influences!
