Weekly Wednesday Workout: Dumbbell Reach
Okay so this week’s Weekly Wednesday Workout is definitely not as um colorful as last week but it is almost just as fun. You see this requires your full attention and concentration!
I’ve never been the best at balance–I can dance and all of that but when it comes to quieting my brain enough to stay focused and stay on one leg…that is a bit of a challenge for me. What I love about this exercise is that I actually have a goal, pick up the dumb bell and put it back down, all the while balancing on one foot. This exercise is excellent for building up the core as well as working on that elusive balance (I suppose that is a whole ‘nother topic but I won’t go there, ha!). If you don’t have any dumb bells you can totally put anything (a water bottle, a kids toy, etc.) on the floor as a target object to pick up.
