Weekly Wednesday Workout: Windshield Wipers
This week’s Weekly Wednesday Workout is a fun variation on the leg raises I talked about a few weeks ago. I’ve mentioned before that abs are my biggest problem area so when I find an exercise that works all parts (lower, upper, obliques) I’m down!
As you can see, it looks very simple but when you try it, its pretty difficult! you have to use all parts of your midsection and oh my word I felt the burn just after a few of these, but I suppose that is what makes a good move right? The difference between these and the leg raises is that now we are bending at the knees and going left to right instead of going up and down. It’s a great variation and change for the ab exercises!

Yes and I don’t like them one bit. They are hard. However I need to work on my abs more. Thanks for the reminder that these are good for me! I know I should do them more often.and they’d probably get easier if I did. I used to really not like planks and now I don’t mind them at all.
Funny how I don’t mind these but you love planks and I am not a fan! LOL
YES!
and they LOOK so so so easy.
they no be easy at all. 🙂
Gotta love those deceiving exercises Miz! 🙂
Yes – it’s been awhile though so I think they need to be done again – maybe in just a few minutes if I can handle 43!!!
You know I love to see what you have posted on Wednesdays!!!
Ha yes, I love how you switched it up!
I thought this was going to be a new dance. Doing the window wiper lol let me go and try it to see it looks easy.
LOL I can’t with you!
My abs hurt just looking at this! Sounds like it would be one I should start then, huh?! ;)-Ashley
ha yeah, I’m pretty sure you won’t break anything!
Very deceiving work out. I know it takes tuns of control to achieve it. But I love any ab work out that doesn’t involve crunches…so I’m good with this one.
Yes exactly, the control makes it hard, it definitely isn’t a run of the mill type of exercise.

These look easy and painful at the same time! I need to work my mid-section and will give them a try! Thanks for sharing!
They aren’t easy once you get down and do em. But I like them anyway!
Girlfriend, ANY workou that entails lifting up and moving these legs are a workout.haha My hips and thighs are the heaviest part of my body, the way I am shaped like a pear.
Thanks for the new exercise. I’m sure it will burn some calories for me.
Yeah I feel you girl, I am always looking for new abs exercises, a small waistline does wonders for a figure!
Yes, love working my abs! One of my problem areas too 🙂
It’s a good one!
Controlled movements…looks simple but a blaster for sure. Have fun with that one!
Fun? Lol not so much. Just adding it to the rotation.
I have trouble finding exercises for lower abs. This does look easy, but I imagine it’s not! It’s not so much that it looks easy – but that it’s well explained. And I appreciate that! My baby is 11 months old and my stomach is not flat. I know most mothers have that but hey, I can try.
It’s so not easy but its an easy one to do anywhere, and I like that.
Great exercise! Very Pilates. 😉
Glad you approve 🙂
Hmmmm yeah, I like this workout. Gotta work those abs and sides
Yeah it’s a good one!
