Because of the insanity of this week I was extra cautious with my food. Without getting into specific detail something terrible happened at the job on Wednesday sending me into a full panic. I wanted to eat. A lot. Until the food filled up the void of the long day. I did have a cookie—But I didn’t go off the deep end. That to me, is progress.
I didn’t have a lot of veggies but my fruit stayed up. Although I am still feeling the emotions, I hope to get into a better food routine soon.
Thank goodness for blogging and twitter and good blogging buddies. I appreciate you guys SO much. Reading your blogs and tweets keep me going. So thank you.
I felt good. I had complete plans to be EPIC this week since last week was such a bust. Work however made the decision that being epic would have to take a seat.
We are in the process of two new system training’s on the job and it is brutal. I usually go to the gym during my lunch break but that wasn’t happening this week. I was able to get out miraculously on Monday and I hope to get out today but that is as far as it goes. I got up early on Wednesday and made it to spin class but even that took *everything* out of me (because the four year old woke me up so many times the night before) waking up at 4:35am for spin was like the hardest thing ever but I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it otherwise.
So yeah, my schedule was really crazy. I hate the excuse that you don’t have “time” to workout but if you have to be like me and get up at 4:30am to get it in, so be it.

I’m often told that I haze myself on my work week. It is hard to sleep during the day when the rest of the world are busy bodies, but it’s my routine..Pre babies anyway. I think if I had all that and on the job issues, I’d have to let some things ride.
Blogging and social network peeps are the bomb…it’s like therapy. Better luck next week. All the best my dear on the J.O.B.!
Yes it is like therapy! Takes me out of my own crazy and into someone else’s. LOL!
hi girlie, sorry work was rough this week. i have to say though you had a emotional work week you still did a great job. having only a cookie is truly progress.. emotional eating is real and get the best of us sometimes to a cookie is no biggie. congrats to you.i just came back from vacation this week so i was a bit off this week and didn’t really exercise as much as i usually do or eat 100% good, next week is a new week and time to start anew 🙂 thank god for long weekends!
Thanks Cass! I hope your long weekend was fantastic! We must do lunch soon. Even if we run over to pax or something 🙂
You know what I love about you Nellie? You are real. And you are honest. And you hold yourself accountable. And that is why you are AWESOME! :)-Ashley
thanks Ashley 🙂
Sorry the week didn’t go quite like you had planned!! I’m impressed that you still got up early for spin after all of the work craziness and the kids waking you!!!
I’m slowly getting back on track – harder than I thought it would be (isn’t that the way things usually go, though?).
I hope you can get away at lunch to workout!!!
Thanks Kim! You will be back at it before you know it! (I personally think you are doing great!)
So glad you’re finding social media therapeutic. It’s totally my go to place when I’m stressed or need an escape from the kids or work or anything. Best of luck for a better work week – hope you have a long weekend!
Thank you Tamara!
Good for you for keeping a sound mind in the midst of what normally would send you into eat mode! I’m way proud of you because I KNOW how that is when stress makes you just want to stuff your face. I hope everything at work has gotten better.
Yes girl, its not as crazy but things have calmed for sure.
I love your honest posts, Nellie! I never used to be this way, but more and more I’m becoming a big believer in quality over quantity. Some of my best and most challenging workouts have been only 15 minutes. Still, I know, some days it’s even hard to get that amount of time to yourself. Enjoy the long weekend!
Thanks Marissa! Yes, that is the reason why I love working out–time to myself.
I have to say, very cool, Nellie! You do some great exercises, especially those too many women think are not for them.
More power to you! 🙂
Thank you! I try to break the stereotype of “women’s exercises” all the time. Thank you for visiting!
I agree with many of the comments. With all that stress and you were able to hold it together with just a cookie? That’s awesome. Here’s to a better week next week. You’re doing a great job Nellie. Even in your tough times, still manage to inspire 🙂
Thanks Hope, I always want to let folks know that it ain’t always a bed of roses round here. 🙂
One cookie don’t stop no show glad you are back on it and still keeping up. This month I have started to get off my cookie addiction and start buying candy less calories and it will calm my craving for sweets.
I am not a sugar addict, but i am a salt addict! Once I stopped buy chips for the house, I didn’t *want* it so much anymore.
I guess I’ll actually check in this week since I actually managed to work out!
You know that magic number that makes you say to yourself, I CANNOT go any higher? Well, I got there on Sunday and offcially got myself in gear Monday morning.
I worked out 3 Times this week!
I’m using My Fitness pal to keep track of how much I’m eating and it’s going well.
I’m going to my mom’s house this weekend, so pray that I don’t inhale a plate of buttermilk biscuits….
I see you do your thing girl! My fitness pal is a necessary evil.
A bad week happens every now and again. Don’t worry about it. I would love to go to the gym on my lunch break! But since it’s not close and I don’t always have time to take a lunch it’s not worth me paying for. When I can I hide in the bathroom lounge area for 15 minutes or so to get a little break. Tweet!
Enjoy the holiday weekend and get a nice break in!
Thanks Carli 🙂 My gym is 2 short blocks away so I like to sneak away for me time, then get back on it.
