Weekly Wednesday Workout: The Half Pike With Tap
Alrighty, so I have got a doosie for this week’s WWW! I have been working really hard on my abs especially now that I can’t hide them anymore under my coat 🙂 I know you can’t do spot training BUT I am very intrigued by this move. Its different from any of the other abs exercises that I do including leg raises and abdominal bridges, and these are just a tad more intense.

First let’s shoutout her body and amazing form. Next, oh my word. This is so good for the obliques, abs, all of it! I think I will have to try the sit up with the twist first and then try lifting the leg. She makes this look so effortless! I think the “I dream of Genie” arms are so cool! This is a MUST add for my routine, it will be hard at first but with a lot of practice I hope to flow through it as easily as this chick does!
Have you ever tried a Half Pike? Aren’t the genie arms fantastic?

Wow! I can’t wait to try this one!! Of course mine will have to be sets of 43
Let me know when you do Kim! I will most likely read it on the blog 🙂
I’m so sold on her channel. The form is excellent and they have lots of moves in addition to this one using this chair. Who knew so much could be done..very creative!
The channel is awesome! I am very inspired.
WOW! I am fairly certain that I would rip some sort of muscle/tissue/tendon trying that, but it definitely looks effective! :)-Ashley
LOL this one is one of the more intimidating ones, I admit. But we can work our way to it!
Ok, I just tried it. Excuse me while I just lay here…..
LOL girl you are hilarious!
I LOVE that ab move. When I used to be a gymnast…waaaaay back in the day, those were a part of my warm up. Most of the time I had to do them and lift both legs though.
Girl I can totally see you as a gymnast. I was too afraid of it lol I was more of a dance child. Lifting both legs?! are you serious?! omg.
I have not seen an an move like this. I like the use of the chair to make sure your legs are positioned correctly. You are correct about her form. It’s spot on!
Its so great, isn’t it Carli? Her form is amaze!
Oooh! Interesting move…I think I might give this a try during my next workout. I’ll let you know how sore I end up. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, let me know!
I might be able to do that. But there is a reason why I run and it has something to do with lack of coordination!
