Friday Fitness Check-In: Snacking Issues Part Deux

Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! 🙂 Feel free to link up and do your own Friday Fitness Check In where you can keep track of the following:

 

  1. Fitness: Workouts for the week, how did I feel?
  2. Food: Did I eat well? Let’s be honest shall we?
  3. Strength Training: Did I lift weights this week? How many reps and what exercises?
  4. Mind and Motivation: Where am I mentally? What motivated me this week?
  5. Weight: Have I lost weight this week? gained?

Sunday: JFK Rotary Club 5k

Tuesday: Elliptical and One mile on the treadmill (had to do it for Boston)
Wednesday: Spin
Thursday: Zumba
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Zumba Teaching

 

Tuesday:

Wednesday:

  • Lat Pulldown
  • Pushdown (triceps)
  • Hip Adductor
  • Hip Abductor
  • Chest Press
  • Assisted Dip
  • Rear Delt Row

Thursday:

My food choices last week were horrible, but this week, I think I have rebounded nicely. It wasn’t perfect by any means but I have at least gotten back to my daily fruits and vegetables. I could have done a bit better with my overall choices (like that beef pattie on Thursday because I was in the mood neighborhood). I know overall I need to do better, eat more frequently because I eat usually 3 meals with barely any snacks, and I suffer the most for it at night because I am usually starving, smh. I went through this before, I will get this one day!

My youngest has a thing for whole wheat ritz crackers…and now…so do I. PRAY. I will get this!! 🙂

I’m feeling great, 2 months till fitbloggin and I haven’t been on the scale since I lost some weight a few weeks ago. I haven’t “felt light” if that makes any sense? However, I have been feeling fantastic in my clothes (cept the belly area, LORD) legs are slimming and I am fitting comfortable in a whole size smaller than I was last year. And although it took a year, I am very happy to be here. 🙂

Tuesday's results (ouchie)

Working out this week was really difficult! I thought by Tuesday i’d be totally recovered from my 5k but instead I was still SO sore, it hurt so bad to even get on the spin bike! But by Wednesday I was back to normal so I suppose I had to work out the kinks.

So now you know what time it is, its time to tell me how your fitness/eating healthy/workout goals went this week!

Looks like you are making solid progress!
I ate terribly over the weekend – I guess that happens when you take an unexpected trip. Since getting back home, I’m back on track!!!

I’m still feeling that JFK achievement! You rocked that! Good job on the food rebound. That is a constant struggle for me. Now I’m on a little vacay and you know how that is. However, fitness wise, it was a pretty good week with the BODYCOMBAT launch. It went really well. I like that you don’t obsess over the scale. Fitbloggin…whoop whoop!!

I have fell off my water *sigh* but I am doing good with all the rest of my little changes I have not had any soda in a month yippeee. Keep up the great work

I think my fitness was good once I saw it on written down. However, I feel like I could have done more.

My eating was in the okay category. And I have HUGE snacking issues!

I like that it took you a year. I believe slower is better. Plus no one ever put the weight on overnight so it’s not going to come off overnight either. Since it took me 18 years to raise my kids I figure that’s how long I have to get off the belly pooch that they gave me. LOL

I find food to be challenging. My husband was just on a cleanse and now that he’s coming off of it, he’s still into very clean eating with tons of proteins and veggies. So I guess I reap his benefits because healthy, homecooked food is here after weeks without!

I don’t think I could ever do a cleanse, although I probably need to! At least you have a good influence, my hubby brings home ice cream and candy ALL the time!

I do eat three meals per day, and I’ m also trying to do better with the snacking! I don’t snack and when I do…it’s not good snacks! This week my supervisor bought donuts and it was baaaaad! I had like three! SMH! Way too many!

Exactly I need better snacks because somewhere in my head snack means chips and crackers I need to rewire my brain!

I’m so glad you showed us your Tuesday work out results. Obviously you had plenty of reason to be exhausted (and were back to normal the next day), but it showed me that even a fitness superstar has days that are not as great as others. I thought that happened only to fitness runts like me. But, even so you showed up and did your best and were right on track the next day!! Excellent message, and one that I needed to hear!! –Lisa

It was so hard Lisa! I am actually sore a lot but I think I’ve gotten used to it but last Mondays sore was incredible! I’ll be sure to detail my pain from now on LOL!!
