Weekly Wednesday Workout: Lying Leg Raises

My abs are my trouble spot, if I had to choose one area that I could put a magic wand on it would be my abdominal area. The great thing is, its going down, which is awesome but only because I have really started to give them the attention that they deserve. My old workout involved a lot of lifting and squats and etc, but all the while I left the core alone. Time to change ALL of that!

This one I love because it can be done during your favorite TV show on the floor of your living room or even at the gym. These are no joke! I’m not looking for six pack abs but I AM looking to wear some form fitting dresses this spring and summer SANS the bulge. 🙂

Well…I’ve been seeing the results and lemme just say…hubba hubba hubba..lil miss nellie is looking caliente. Keep up the good work. I beleieve in you and your goals. You’ll get there. If you want, I’ll be your workout partner with the ab exercises…lord knows I need them with all the great food you be feeding me.

These leg raises look intense, so that means they work, LOL! Do they work your glutes as well? That’s my problem area! I’m always working to shrink these thighs girl! LOL

These DO work for sure. I do these, and several variations of them. I’ve been including my core with every resistance/strength training that I do, because well…the core can take it 🙂 I love how the hubby is giving you the support, that’s sweet.

I love any exercise you can do while watching TV!!! I have a mat in my TV for that very reason:) Yes, I have tried legs raisers, they are good for those abs.

Those are very similar to a lot of the leg moves in the Pilates workouts I do. Though I don’t have any hopes of ever getting rid of the ‘pooch’ (it is now surgically placed on my body – not once, but twice), it’s definitely important to make sure your core is strong. Having a strong stomach and back not only helps with posture, but with ensuring that you’re doing all those other workouts properly. Good luck getting the tummy you want!

I think I’ll start doing these everynight too. I exercise 2-3 times a week at the gym but oddly enough I never do anything when I am at home or the days that I don’t go to the gym. My stomach area is my trouble spot too. I want a 6-pack but that’s a bit out of reach so I first need to lose the stubborn flab that is still holding on and keeping me from wearing skin-tight shirts.
P.S. Your hubby’s support is soooooooooo cute. Love it!!!
