Weekly Wednesday Workout: Back Extensions

Usually I do Back Extensions on the machines in the gym, those this is cool new way to do it–and it doesn’t require a gym at all! The beginning of the video has a lot of explaining which I appreciate because when it comes to working out the back muscles you can never be too careful! When I tried these I didn’t get much height off the floor but I am hoping it improves with practice!

I definitely do these on a mat. I either incorporate them into my strength routine or do them as a “stretch” afterward. Good stuff!
I do these on the mat pretty much like she showed. I’ve also done a similar move while on a stability ball.
I appreciate all her talking! You’re right -you can’t be too careful. Backs are delicate and sensitive body parts.
These are great for improving posture!
That is an awesome video. Not many get so detailed, but I love it. The back doesn’t get nearly enough love, and this looks like a great alternative to those Supermans I’ve gotten so tired of doing.
