Weekly Wednesday Workout: Side V-Ups
Today we are getting back to the obliques!
httpv://youtu.be/gxBOxA2OMgU
I feel like I might have done something like this before so forgive me if I am getting repetitive! 🙂 I like this move, it is perfect for targeting that muffin top! If you notice, in the video the woman has a little towel under her hip so that would be good for hard floors. I have carpet in my living room so no towel worries here. Everytime I do this workout I feel super sore the next day so based on that its a good one for the obliques. Side V-Ups are also perfect for TV time! 🙂

It’s funny how such a small move can make you so sore! I’ve had the same experience with this one. It sneaks up on you!!
exactly Allie!
Okay, I DEFINITELY welcome an anti-muffin top maneuver! I am honestly not sure I am coordinated to do this. It looks easy enough, but I wonder if I can actually squench (totally a word) myself together while on my side without falling over. I am excited to try!! –Lisa
Squench is like my new favorite word ever!
I am with Lisa and a bit of a klutz here, too. So not sure I could pull this off, but will have to see now! 🙂
It isn’t too bad!
please.
you can always git repetitive with me as I always need the reminding.
Good, I do too Miz 🙂
This looks like it really packs a punch, and gets you SORE as all heck.
I like it.
my kind of exercise for sure! 🙂
Oh no… no no no… Don’t like these one bit! They burn so good!
They sure do!
I need that little towel trick! Even on a cushy mat these always hurt my hips. They are super tough though!
the towel helps tons!! I always need a cushion.
Yep – that move gets me every single time!!!
me too Kim!
Looks easy, but I know it’s going to make you sore!
It isn’t! but its totally good for you 🙂
Definitely a good choice for a workout! No doubt it gets not only the obliques but the whole core including the lower abs.
exactly, all of which I need improvement on!
I did these today in PILATES!! Ya baby!! 🙂
Yay! 🙂
This is another ab workout that I should incorporate. Thanks!
You are welcome Kris! 🙂
No worries if you have! It was do for a refresher even if we’ve seen it before. I know Kim will be appreciative. IDK know how yall come up with all this stuff! It must take time for you to plan out these posts.
Yes, lots of research! Kim is better than me however because she actually DOES all her exercises haha
I am a reformed gym rat, who had a c-section 6 months ago. Finding workouts that target the obliques and abdominal area are crucial to me right now. I will be doing this tomorrow evening!
Awesome Kimi, thanks for stopping by!
Being sore is the only indication for me that I did something right! 🙂
