6 Weeks Postpartum
I had been looking forward to this day since October! I was finally cleared to return to the gym!
Crazy as it sounds, I was a bit nervous about going back.
Would I be able to do what I needed to do? Would it hurt? Would I be embarrassed and have to jump off of a machine in 15 minutes from exhaustion?
I jumped on the crossfit for 40 minutes and worked my little tail off and I am going back for some more today.
The only thing that really sucks about the gym is that its is SO crowded that time of night, I mean, really really crowded. Most people are there to be social, hanging off of machines, and just having a good ole time. Unfortunately you can’t really blame them, @ $10 a month (Planet Fitness) you can’t really call the gym exclusive. :/
Fortunately, I also have a NYSC membership but since the locations are closer to my job and not so close to my home, I can can only go for spin classes on the weekends. I will be getting the best of my workouts at that location. PF is mainly get in, get some good cardio, and hopefully push my way onto a strength machine or two.
Another added benefit of working out is the improved sleep!! Although boy2 wakes me up every 3 hours for feedings, I have a better quality of sleep after working out. I am still a zombie, just a more alert zombie.
