5 Annoying Gym Personalities & Friday Link Up

Happy Friday!

Welcome to Friday Fitness weekly blog series where I share my fitness journey with you! How was your week?

The majority of the week found me in meetings for my new business (yay!) and trying to keep up with the boys. The amount of homework they have every weekday is criminal (no seriously, it HAS to be against the law).

I have also created social media profiles for my new Social Media consulting business on Twitter and Facebook. Your support is appreciated!

After my magical run last Saturday I was SO sore but was back at it on Monday!

Monday: OMG the gym was SO crowded. I went to workout on January 1–NEW YEARS DAY–and it was half the amount of people. Granted, I tinkered around and didn’t actually get there until noon but STILL! The crowd isn’t really an issue for me, yay fitness, but it was the type of crowd that drove me nuts.

I hereby declare these 5 as my top 5 MOST annoying gym personalities:
  1. The guys gathered around to out-bro each other.
  2. The women that clearly came to the gym to find a man because there is absolutely NO function to those clothes.
  3. The people that don’t wipe down the benches after a sweaty lift.
  4. The people that leave (no lie) 450lbs of weight on the lying leg press machine.
  5. The people who are sitting on machines with phones….for an hour.

2 Mile Run & Arms

Tuesday: Leg Day! This one was tough! The plan called for narrow squats on the rack and some more supersets that was a total TKO! No cardio today

Wednesday: Chest & Cardio (elliptical)

Thursday: Shoulders & Cardio — Shoulders are always the worst for me as I always mention! My shoulders burn like hot fire whenever I do this workout! I did a strong 4 miles for NYC Half training too!

Friday: Leg Day (part 2!)

Saturday: Arms and Cardio – A long run scheduled of 7 miles.

Training for the NYC half is going pretty well, I am definitely doing less miles than I thought I’d be at this point but I am doing my best and getting the miles where I can! I also signed up for the Brooklyn Half…again…because it’s one of my FAVORITE races and hands down my favorite expo/pre-party. This will be my third year in a row running it!

YAY for you and BOOO for the annoying gym people. They are at every gym, I assure you! Although there are less “lookers” at the YMCA but the older adults have their annoying habits too 🙂

Only wishing you the best of luck now!! Oh and don’t get me started on homework, because between the 6 and the 7 year old I am so over it here, as well!!

I don’t go to a gym these days but I definitely remember the January crowds from back when I still had my membership! Going early and prepared are great tips.

haha! I love the people on phones, as well as the women who have non-functional gym clothes but are trying to look hot.

Ugh! I get so grossed out when people don’t wipe down the equipment. I probably look like a total germophobe, but I completely slather everything down with sanitizer. At least my kids’ germs shouldn’t be transferring that way! Looks like you had a great fitness week, and there’s no better busy than busy for your own business, right? ?

Adding to the list- loud talking moms who think everything their kids do is special. EVERYTHING. And that’s all they talk about…loudly. (I might be venting…I’ve had lots of these this week!)
