One of the main reasons for this blog is to really keep me accountable with my weight loss journey. I blog about the food that I love, food that I hate, but most of all I love to blog about my favorite thing to do which is GO to the gym, or really just workout in general.
When I workout, I get ME time. I always get asked HOW can you do this with 2 small children, a full time job, a side hustle and more–the answer is SO simple…I workout for me. I don’t go to the gym because its the “thing” to do, I don’t go because its mandatory (although some may argue that it is), I go because I feel STRONG, I have a love affair with endorphins. I don’t drink coffee, or drink alcohol or take
recreational drugs…I workout. Its what I do, and what I love. I blog about it because it is FUN for me to lift, to run, to spin. It’s the one thing that I do for myself and it just happens to have the benefits of making my body look better. Win/Win.
Over the past few months though, I have seen a lot of change in my body, the scale is moving
unbearably slow, but the change in my body has become a lot more evident.
All of a sudden, I can see my old body coming back to me! I really think adding the total body class to my weekly routine has helped significantly. Maybe it was the shake-up my body needed in order to get jump started again. The plateau of recent weeks will be over soon! (Do you hear ME?! Over!)
My goal, really, is to lose at least another 10 by Fitbloggin‘ 13 in Portland. That gives me 5 months to lose 10 pounds (or more!) I think I can manage that. Besides, I am going to be roomies with this girl and she is doing fantastic on her weightloss journey so I gotta keep up!
The great part is that I know that even if the scale isn’t moving, I can continue to get lean and have the scale catch up eventually. 🙂
