Easy Homemade Mini Cannolis Recipe

If you a looking for a yummy dessert look no further than these homemade mini cannolis! This recipe teaches you how to make the cannoli shells and filling from scratch.

My husband’s favorite dessert of all time are cannolis. I never understood until he finally introduced them to me and I realized that I loved them too! Everything from the pie crusts to the mini chocolate chips, I love these little treats!

You will need the following ingredients for these amazing mini cannoli shells delicious dessert:

Cannoli Ingredients

Shells (Cannoli molds):
butter
sugar 
vanilla 
wonton wrappers 
pistachios, crushed 
mini chocolate chips
powdered sugar 

Filling:
cream cheese, softened 
ricotta cheese 
sugar 
vanilla 
mini chocolate chips

These homemade cannolis will require a pastry bag so you can get the ricotta mixture into the cannoli tubes. You won’t need any orange zest, egg yolk, pastry rounds, pastry cups or pastry dough for this sweet treat. You won’t even need any mini muffin cups or a mini cupcake pan for this delicious recipe.

Some might say that cannoli filling is the best part, and I wouldn’t argue it! You can serve this amazing cannoli with ice cream too. The filling ingredients makes the most perfect cannoli cream and the first time you have these you will be in love!

This is not the traditional cannoli but it’s one of those easy recipes that you will make over and over again! You don’t have to go to the bakery for an amazing cannoli when you an make one with a delicious creamy filling right at home. Easy Homemade Mini Cannoli For Dessert Tonight

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Additional Time: 2 hours
Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes

These amazing mini cannolis are made with pistachios and a delicious filling!

Ingredients

  • Shells:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • ⅔ cup pistachios, crushed
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • Filling:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Shells:

  1. Melt butter and sugar then add vanilla
  2. Brush wontons on one side and wrap around cylinder made of foil or foil covered rolling pin
  3. Brush again to hold closed
  4. Bake 5 minutes, remove from cylinder immediately and cool
  5. Melt chocolate chips and dip the ends of the ends of the shells in chocolate then crushed pistachios

Filling:

  1. Mix all filling ingredients until well combined
  2. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours
  3. Carefully pipe into shells
  4. Sprinkle w/ powdered sugar, serve, and enjoy!
