I had another solid week of workouts this week. I have been pushing harder to reach my minimum 400 calories burned. This gets increasingly harder with the more pounds I drop. It’s hard but it is also really good motivation to keep going even when I’m exhausted. A really good calorie burner? Squats!
I will be working out for a total of 6 times this week, only because I had a total unplanned workout on Sunday when I blew the dust off my “Hip Hop Experience” game for my Xbox Kinect. This game is no joke! Once you get into it, you will break a serious sweat!
Other than that I added a ton of kettle bells to my workouts this week. I love them! There were lots of kettlebellI swings, squats, snatches, sit-ups, shoulder presses, you name it. We had a love affair this week! I even created a new Pin board dedicated to kettle bells that is full of amazing workout ideas.
For the first time in a long time I don’t feel overly tired or sore after 5 straight workout days. I am taking a mandatory rest day today (Not that I want to) because I need fresh legs to teach Zumba in the morning!
Food was great this week. I am sticking to my routine, I did get some advice that I may be eating too little. Which is probably very true.
The weekends tend to be a slippery slope for me. If we order food, it’s usually not very healthy and I will end up doing the same thing the next day until I cook on Sunday. I have been overly aware of this and in an effort not to spoil the disciplined week I have been eating insanely low calories on Saturday and Sunday. This is clearly not a good idea because I do not want to slow down my metabolism just as its finally started to work for me! I’m working it out.
I also had my first cheat meal in weeks yesterday. I had 2 tacos and a side chips from Baja Fresh. It was good but I felt yucky afterwards. I managed to stay inside of my calories though thanks to Zumba and and extra 20 mins of elliptical action.
The scale was weird with me this week! One day up dramatically one day down. I think it might have to do with the fact that I am now inhaling 80oz of water as a part of the #newbodymakeover, or my affair with kettle bells, or my AF that is en route. Not sure but when it was all said and done I was up 1lb. I am quite OK with this because I am still logging every bite, busting my tail in the gym, and I haven’t deviated from the plan in the least.
