Top Five Highlights of 2012 + My First Vlog!

2012 was a really good year. I learned a lot about myself as a person and I have grown up A LOT since last year.

Here are my top 5 highlights of 2012

1) I came out of my anti-social shell: when I decided to go to a bloggy conference last year I REALLY didn’t know what I was getting into! BlogHer 12 was an amazing experience, from the parties, to the knowledge, to the amazing and beautiful women that I met. I left the conference feeling like I could truly do anything with my blog, like I could finally stop worrying about what everyone else did, said, thought and finally just release myself to blog (and vlog) about anything I want!

I have a bag on my head, yes, that's how we party at BlogHer!

…and then there was fitbloggin. The conference with life changing abilities. The conference that GOT me. The conference made for the soul. The conference that pushed me toward my dreams and gave me lifetime friends. The one that made me cry and laugh equally as hard. The one that lit a real fire in me, the one that I will never miss again (if I can help it!)

I HEART these women!

2) I stepped up my fashion: After cyber stalking all of your fashion blogs out there, I have finally learned something! From updating my work wardrobe to updating my gym wardrobe, I have finally started to put some real thought in my attire! I mean, I own leopard pants y’all. If someone would have said that a year ago I would have had a long chuckle.

3) I got all HGTV: I threw my first real house party, after moving into my home 2 years ago and  renovating everything, I finally got the guts to throw a party. It went off perfectly and it was a big deal considering all the work we did. I was SO proud of the end result!

4) Brotherly love: growing up as an only child I have never witnessed sibling love so to watch my sons grow together and bond together has been a truly amazing experience! They hug so much and play so well together that I often feel overwhelmed by the love they share. I look forward to the years ahead but this first year of them together has been simply perfect.

And although these weren’t in any particular order, I made a short video to talk about my number one moment of 2012. ( MY FIRST VLOG!  Sorry about my voice volume, I had a napping toddler 2 doors down)

What was your favorite moment of 2012?
