Make everyday a Friday!

Every morning at 6am EST, Steve Harvey gives an inspirational word, I normally dont get to hear it, but today is my spa day and I don’t have to go work, so I got to hear! His message was simple but awesome, so I thought I’d share!

Basically the message was “Make everyday a Friday”. Everybody gets super excited when Friday comes right? It’s usually a really happy day because we are all looking forward to the weekend plans, birthday parties, get togethers etc…

TGIF = Thank God It’s Friday, never heard of TGIM, TGIW right? Because usually we are dragging ourselves through the week to get to Friday!

Steve’s message simply stated that it does not have to be Friday for us to to be thankful. Joel Osteen’s new book is called “Make Everyday a Friday” and the basis of the title is that even on Mondays when people are statistically more unhappy, (let’s face it, none of us want to get up on Monday mornings!) We should celebrate it like it was a Friday, because we all have so much to be grateful for.

Steve also mentioned that the rate of heart attacks are higher on a Monday than every other day! A simple attitude change can alleviate all of that stress during the week. If we began to treat everyday like Friday, it would make a difference in the way you operate during the week.

I surely need to start this practice.

Anyone else get really excited when the weekend comes? Just to end up with the Monday blues?
