Friday Fitness Check In – Weight Watchers and Traveling

I am starting a new series @ BAM called the Friday Fitness Checkup! I am using this as a bit of a diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! :) Feel free to link up and do your own Friday Fitness Check In where you can keep track of the following:
  1. Fitness: Workouts for the week, how did you feel
  2. Food: Did you eat well? Let’s be honest people!
  3. Strength Training: Did you lift weights this week? How many reps and what exercises?
  4. Mind and Motivation: Where are you mentally? What motivated you this week?
  5. Weight: Have you lost weight this week? gained?

Did really well with my workouts this week! 
Saturday: The Zumba class I’ll never forget
Sunday: my first 5k in 5 years (omg! Details to come)
Monday: recovery spin class
Wednesday : 6:45am spin class
Thursday: Zumba

Monday: long pull 50 lbs x 2 sets of 12
Lat pull down 60lbs x 2 sets of 12
Pec fly 40lbs x 2 sets of 12
Rear delt 50 lbs 1 set 10 40 lbs 1 set

WednesdayBicep curls: 2 sets 40 lbs (20 on each hand)

I could have done better with the lifting this week, I will be back on it next week!

After a wonderful fitbloggin trip my mind and motivation are in a really great place, I certainly didn’t  expect to learn so much about myself by going to a conference but I am so so happy I went.

The most important thing I learned is to stop beating myself up so much, to relax and accept myself the way I am while moving forward in my goals. That was a tough pill to swallow for me, but I’m working on it.
I was thrown off a little bit in Baltimore, I ate 2 meals that were pretty high in points then I came home and my mom had cooked my favorite meal…with leftovers. Yes, I had two containers full of oxtail and rice and peas. I ate small portions but dang! It was sooo good! LoL

I am happy to say that after all of that I am down .5 pounds this week. At first I was disappointed but then I realized it wasn’t a gain, so I needed to stay on the positive side of things.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am also trying to keep to a fitness and eating plan. This week I did O.K. Typically, I Zumba 2 times a week and try to walk/ride bike 3 times. I try to cut out all processed sugars, fast food, and junk food. I can tell my body is changing by how my clothes fit. However, I slipped this week and treated myself to a blended coffee. Next week I'm not giving into the temptations!
