LG Celebrates New LG Sidekick With a Fun Spin Event at the Eventi Hotel!
I mentioned here many times that I own more workout clothes than I do regular clothes. The workout fashion industry has EXPLODED with all kinds of new brands, prints and functionality. When I started this blog a simple 5 years ago, all the bloggers wore black—black leggings, and black tanks. Not anymore! My closet is filled with every color and pattern you can imagine. Yes, it cost a small penny but you have gotta admit looking great burns extra calories. (right?!)
With the beginning of marathon training very much underway, my clothes will need to be taken care of! Last week I attended a crazy fun event celebrating LG’s new LG Sidekick Washer & Dryer that has a separate washer JUST for your delicates!
Sometimes, technology simply gets it right.
The event was held at the gorgeous Eventi Hotel in Chelsea. We would be checking out the new awesome machines as well as taking a spin class with CYC Fitness founder Keoni. There were plenty of pre-game snacks and it all looked SO delish!
Did you know that the gorgeous Marin Ackerman (current star of Billions on Showtime, but really my FAVORITE character that totally stole the show from 27 dresses) was the spokesperson for the LG Sidekick? Makes total sense as she is the mom of a three year old and loves fitness fashion as much as we do!
We headed into the spin room which was this gorgeous space with glass walls so we got all the natural light. Keoni had some crazy good jams on the entire ride including a completely DOPE remix of “Somebody Who Loves Me” by Whitney Houston. There are certain songs that cause me to sing with reckless abandon of pitch, and volume. THAT is one of those songs.
After he completely wiped the floor with us, we took the time to a) get a selfie (of course!) and b) check out the machines up close and personal. The machine is really next level—the basin is made specifically for our delicates, so our underwear, workout clothes etc can be washed separately and thoroughly. The great part is that it keeps our fitness fashion from getting worn out with the rest of the clothes. Plus if there is a special workout piece that you need for the next day (what? nobody else has this issue?!) you don’t have to worry about gathering an entire load for washing.
Had an amazing time learning about the #lgsidekick the new washer/dryer set that has an entire separate section built in for washing your #fitnessclothes and #intimates separately!! So brilliant!! Also we had an amazing sweaty spin class with @keonihudoba and the gorgeous @therealmalinakerman 😍😍😍😍💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 #spinning @lgusa #fitness #fun #selfie #cycfitness #fun #nycfitness #spin
For most of the cycles you can also tweak various settings to suit your preferences. These include the water temperature (ranging from Tap Cold to Extra Hot), the spin speed (from No Spin to Extra High) and how dirty the clothes are (from Light to Heavy). Other advanced cycles and settings include: Steam, Fresh Care, Smart Grid, Remote Start (use the app to start a cleaning cycle), Delay Wash, Wi-Fi Connect (to connect your Android or iOS phone to the washer), Custom PGM (store a custom wash cycle), PGM Save, Turbo Wash, Cold Wash, Extra Rinse, Drum Light, Pre-wash and Child Lock.– CNet.com
