Fun With Sprint Sound HTC One M8 {Harman/Kardon Edition}

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Sprint Sound Session. I received a sample of the HTC One to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

A few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to attend the Sprint Sound Session at the beautiful Lambs Club in NYC. I was crazy excited to attend this even because I have been a Sprint customer for over 3 years now happily on the family plan with my husband.

In addition to yummy food and the wonderful company of my fellow NYC Bloggers, I was able to find out and learn more about the new HTC One M8 (Harman/Kardon edition). This could not have come at a better time, my 2 year old iPhone 4S was on its last breaths and dying quickly!

We got to learn about the amazing features of the HTC One M8 and let me tell you, things have changes dramatically since I had an Android 2 years ago! I was able to chat with the Sprint reps and thank them for turning on service in the subways (LOVE) and discuss all the many phones I have had over my Sprint career. Since my husband and I are very serious about our phones we were able to have a fantastic conversation about phone features and the future of sound technology in our devices.

There are so many awesome features of the phone, but today I am going to share my top 3.

1) Pictures: The pictures are top notch, not only are the pictures sharp and clear but there are SO many things you can do to edit your picture without having to download any extra apps! There are countless features that can help perfect the perfect selfie including:

  • Shine control
  • Brightener
  • Sharpen
  • You can even make your eyes bigger (I certainly don’t need this, but someone might!)
  • Tons of filters

2) Sound: The sound on the phone is really what makes it special. Sometimes with previous phones I really didn’t like the distorted sound, but I accepted it because it was what it was. This phone has a speaker on the top and on the bottom of the phone giving the clearest, sharpest sound…ever. As a person who takes her music very seriously this is a welcome change!

3) Size: The HTC One M8 is also very sleek and sexy. Having an iPhone 4S for so long has really kept me in the dark. I love how slim the phone is! The screen is big and bright and the phone is nowhere near bulky.

Sprint is also giving away a free Spotify trial for 3 months (existing customers) and 6 months for new customers and customers with the Framily plan! For more details click here.

At the very end of the event we got the pleasure of witnessing a live in person performance from The Voice Season 2 winner, Grammy Nominated,  Jermaine Paul who sang three amazing songs for us! See one of them below, this man in incredibly talented! I heard the song once and was so in love that I downloaded it immediately. Check out part of the performance below!

At the very end there was a raffle and I was lucky enough to be one of three winners to win a Harman Kardon Wireless Speaker! Dude, I screamed so loud it wasn’t even funny!

Plus, now that I have Spotify, I can now switch up my music for my half marathon training. The options are really endless and if you have ever used Spotify you know exactly what I am talking about!

Are you Team Android or Team iPhone? Would you ever switch? Do you use Spotify? How adorbs is Jermaine Paul?

  1. So very cool Nellie! I love the looks of that phone and your review is pushing me more towards a smart phone like that when I am ready to get one. Also, my son has gone through two IPhone 5’s in the last year and a half because of some problems the phone has. I think we are done with IPhones!

  2. OMG!!!! You said the magic words – GREAT CAMERA! I’m sorry but the one on the iPhone is bad, and of course, the pics are of the utmost importance to me! I’m waiting until the new iPhone comes out, which is supposed to have a much better camera, be larger, etc. We shall see.
    Spotify? Oh HELL YES!!!!
Jermaine – too cute. I actually think he’s from CT and a few of the people I know, know him. :-)

    • The new iphone sounds divine but the pictures on this phone is pretty darn amazing!! How cool about Jermaine!! He had his wife with him and they were so cute!

  3. Sorry, Team iPhone here, but as I say this my iPhone 4 is also on its last leg and am getting tired of waiting for a new and better iPhone model to be released. I am sorry, but the iPhone 5 isn’t quite cutting it for me and still would like a bigger and better model iPhone released hopefully soon with at least some upgraded and better features then the iPhones out now have. I will also admit my brother has the latest Galaxy phone and if I didn’t have everything else Apple might be swayed. Awesome though that you won those speakers and totally jealous 😉

  4. I love this phone. The photos are so clear, especially when the lighting is good. My mom picked up the Verizon version earlier this week.

  5. You already know I am #teamandroid. I almost got the iPhone when I cracked the screen on my S4, but I took a photo on the iPhone 5 and compared it to the Galaxy 5 in the store, and the choice was crystal clear (literally). I love the features on the HTC too.

  6. Your photos are so clear! I will have to consider this next time I am due for an upgrade!

  7. I’ve had an iphone for so long that it’s just so easy to stay with them. But I would LOVE a better camera on my phone, so I may need to consider other options when I’m ready for an upgrade.

I have an iPhone and love it but haven’t had the chance to use a droid phone so maybe I would like one once I got the hang out using it.

  9. I bet that was a lot of fun to get to review that new phone! I was a Sprint customer for a LONG time…but their service just couldn’t keep up for the areas we visited. But I still remember how they were THE carrier to go with for a long time. As far as phones go, I love my iPhone…and the way it syncs with my iPad and macbook. I really don’t see us switching away from Apple devices any time soon.

    • yes the apple sync really keeps folks attached to their apples! But the same works with android and I have an android tablet, so we are now in the same boat :)

  10. Woah, how cool! I am quite attached to my iPhone 5s, but this is pretty intriguing. Amazing how lovely the screen is!

    xoxo Jess

  11. Ehr, I am team Windows phone 😉 I have the Lumia 1020 which I also use to take the pictures for my blog. That said, Windows phone is still quite behind with apps, many simply aren’t available.

Here the feature that intrigued me the most were those allowing for more sophistcated photo editing.

    • ahhh I had a windows phone once, a lonnng time ago it was called the “dash” it was a cool phone, but like you said the lack of apps made the other phones more tempting!

  12. TEAM iPhone!!!!! I have never ever used an Android before! They are rare to me like white tigers, lol!
