Food was meh. Not bad but certainly not good. I need to balance myself more so I have started snacking. This is really to make sure that I am not a ravenous animal when I get home after work. I have a vlog series upcoming on healthy snacks since I am still learning how to snack properly so make sure you stop by the youtube channel and subscribe!

I had such a low energy week this week. Maybe its the heat, or an upcoming friend visit, but good googamooga my natural energy resources were completely depleted!  I managed to workout this week but what you don’t see is the incredible amount of determination it took to get myself there! I had a million excuses not to go, but my number one excuse to go kind of outranked them all:

No Excuses

Sometimes I have days where I don’t feel like going to the gym, it happens to the best of us right? However, I felt this way the entire week! It’s weird, not like myself, and I hope it ends soon!

Coping Strategies:

  • Read inspirational posts
  • leave the scale alone
  • drink more than usual water
  • trade giggles with this guy

On a happy note,  Zumba returns this week and I have choreographed 5 new songs so I am raring to go!

It’s time for you to check IN! How do you combat low energy? How are your food/fitness goals coming along this week? Don’t forget to encourage EACH OTHER in the comments!

  1. Hope you get your workout mojo back soon! It’s got to be the July blahs. I can’t wait to see your vlog on healthy snacks. I could use some tips on that!! –Lisa

  2. The July heat..and I’m still not recovered from all of the birthdays/parties we were in the middle of. If my baby would just sleep in…sigh.
I combat low energy with tons of lemon water and with getting out of the house, even into other air-conditioned places. I did see my first weight loss since the initial postpartum weight loss. It was one pound but I loved losing every ounce of it!

  4. I was going to say what a couple of people already said – must be the heat sapping your energy!!!
I hope you are back to your normal high-energy self soon!!! I don’t know about you but when my energy is low I tend to eat more crap – I think I convince myself that it will help somehow. Great job getting the workouts done still!

  6. I hate when I have weeks like that! I actually did not want to work out this week. Everything in my body was telling me you don’t have to go. But I fought and won and made it to gym for my workouts. I hope you get your mojo back.

I’m looking forward to your vlog on healthy snack eating. Lord knows I need a few tips :)

    • Thanks! WW and I broke up a few months ago, but it served its purpose and got me back on the right eating path. Hopefully its going well so far.

  9. Still off this week with everything going on.

How do you choreograph/memorize your Zumba routines. I need help!

    • honestly—I listen to the song about a million times until it is seared in my brain. THEN I start choreographing the same way they taught us (break up into parts) etc…The most important part for me is knowing the song inside out…then the rest falls into place. I’d be happy to google hangout if you ever want to practice

  10. Hi Nellie. I definitely have those days/weeks when it just seems like I have NO energy what-so-ever. Those weeks are so hard. It’s so easy to tell yourself “tomorrow” or “next week”. Kudos to you for staying strong!
