I think I have a special spot in my heart for Spider Man because my husband and I went to see these movies the day they came out and enjoyed every single one of them. I may not go see ALL Marvel movies but SpiderMan? There is something about the story line…maybe its the innocence of peter Parker, maybe its the romance, maybe its the action…whatever it is, I love me some Spidey!
The Moms were kind enough to invite me to the Red Carpet premiere of SpiderMan 2, now when I RSVP’d I ad no clue the amazing that was about to happen.
When I arrived I was given a VIP Guest Pass and placed on the bleachers directly in front of the red carpet. It honestly wasn’t until that moment that I realized that I would be standing in that area that I always see people screaming from on TV. It hit me like a ton of bricks–I was going to see some serious superstars today!! Don’t ask why I didn’t make the connection before, but when I realized I what was going on–to say I was excited is a real understatement.
Directly in front of us was the major news outlets like E! News, MTV News, Pop Sugar and Entertainment Tonight. There were so many lights and cameras, it was mind boggling. I have never seen a set up like this in my life.
Finally it was time for the stars to arrive! There were lots of different celebrities present, some that were in the film and some that were not. Some of the early celebs included Brittany Daniels from “The Game”, Kendrick Lamar & Some of the characters from Orange Is The New Black.
After that it was time for the SpiderMan 2 peeps to come down the carpet! Andrew Garfield was the sweetest, he took so many selfies with the crowd I lost count. He seems like a really humble guy that genuinely loves what he does. Next Sally Field, and the young Peter Parker in the film came down the pike. He was just so adorable, and I just loved seeing Sally Field in person as I have been a fan girl since forever!
We were also able to see Pharell and Jamie Foxx too!!
There were many more stars but unfortunately we had to leave the red carpet to head right over to our exclusive premiere party at Sony Studios. This was my second time at the studios and I just love this place. The Moms provided everyone with a yummy pizza dinner, gave us an amazing goody bag filled with SpiderMan 2 toys for the kids then it was time to see the movie!!
The first couple of scenes were crazy intense and I would not recommend them for kids younger than 10. Keep in mind that the movie is appropriately rate PG-13. I did love the movie though, even better than the first. There won’t be any spoilers here, but I though Jamie Foxx played a great villain and it was cool to see who they cast as Harry Osbourne…(although I still miss Franco!!) It doesn’t disappoint, as it is incredibly action packed and just enough romance to keep this girl glued to the screen. I mean–the chemistry between Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield is simply awesome.
I would totally recommend that everyone go see the film so a lot of fun, a good amount of romance and some amazing action scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat!
Are you going to see SpiderMan 2?? Have you seen the first one??
