Friday Fitness Check In: A Vlog & Grilling Season Temptations

Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! :) Feel free to link up and/or do your own Friday Fitness Check In in the comments where you can keep track of the following:

Food was good this week, not great but good. I got a lot of veggies and fruit in this week, and I have drank almost 80 oz a day this entire week! (I stopped counting how many times I was going to the bathroom). A friend of mine told me to start putting some lemons in my water, can’t hurt right?

We are thinking of firing up the grill this weekend for the first time this season, I can easily go off the grid food wise when it comes to grilled yumminess but I will keep it under control. Promise :)

      I didn’t get to grill it was too cold! I’m just going to hold on until this consistent warm weather comes :)

  2. YUMMY the grill! Yes that will be tough but I know you can manage the temptation. Love the addition of the vlog for this week. What editor did you use if you don’t mind my asking.

    Sounds like children are enjoying the change of weather. No need for apologies, that’s music to my ears to hear children enjoying the outdoors and not being cooped up in the house playing with technology!

      I used windows movie maker, it’s free to download and very intuitive, I was able to edit that video in like 10 mins and that was my first time using that program!

      It wasn’t until I heard the video back that I heard the kids, I’m so used to it I guess

  4. I love the vlog update. I’m such a visual person! Hey, I absolutely love lemon in my water. I believe it gives the water great taste and it helps cut some fat (I think). Congrats on a good fitness week for you! I did great fitness wise but not food wise. These last 3 weeks have been so busy and I’ve resorted to emotional eating. Uggh! But I’m determined to get back on track next week.

  7. As soon as our whacky weather decides to get warm and STAY warm I think I’d like to have my husband do some grilling! YUM
    My workouts were great this week. I had a PR for my jogging 10.38minute mile. I’m excited because this is the best I’ve done post baby.
    I am hoping to eat well this weekend. I had a pretty fatty food based day on Wednesday so I think one day a week is enough.

  10. I love your vlog! It’s so personal and engaging! I’m putting all healthy foods and snacks in my house, so I have no choice, but to eat good. It’s the over-eating that I struggle with. Summer grilling is awesome! I think I’ll only buy enough grill food for myself and my honey, so that I don’t over -eat.

  11. I can never seem to drink as much water as I should, no matter what I read about it. And the few times I do? Makes a HUGE difference in everything. Feeling more awake and better digestion. Better skin even! Do you feel like the lemon makes a difference?
