This week was not too bad, I stayed away from the stuff I wanted and stuck to my plan. Still eating loads of veggies with my dinner and eating my oatmeal every morning. My husband bought me my favorite candy (Mike and Ike’s) on Wednesday and I said no. THAT is huge progress because that is my candy of weakness. I can eat several bags. I’m not a chocolate girl but put some mike and ike’s in front of me and they may very well get demolished.

I tried to introduce plums this week to vary my fruit intake but I wasn’t feeling it, perhaps I will try something else different next week.

I am feeling awesome this week, more of the struggle pants are fitting for work (yes, I have a LOT of work pants, its actually kind of crazy). I have also gotten an unusually high amount of compliments this week–which means my body has gone through another transition. During my 1st baby weight loss I had varying transitional periods where people would notice for a week then weeks (or months) later they will notice again. It is so motivating because Lord know that some days its feels like all this working out is for nothing.

I am feeling good mentally too, spring is almost here (I can smell it!) and I am way more comfortable in my skin than I was last year. The journey is far from over but as I heard Steve Harvey say the other day :

How is your fitness goals coming along this week? Do you have ONE candy that you are absolutely WEAK for?!

  2. It’s great that you were able to stick to your food plan. Congrats on turning down you favorite candy. That’s big! My weakness is sweets..cookies, cake, chocolate. I don’t eat them very often, but when I do…watch out. This week I’ve decided to cut all added sugars from my diet and is already down 5 pounds. My goal is to lose 5 more before I run an Iron Girl race next Sunday. You’re blog has been very inspiring.

    • Thats amazing Hope! Sugar elimination is a big deal. Good luck on your Iron Girl race, sounds intense, I can’t wait to hear all about it.

  3. Way to double up yesterday! Great week! I love plums but I don’t buy them often. Usually I just have bananas and that’s it. I don’t eat chocolate at ALL but I love some Skittles and Laffy Taffy!

  4. Hmmm. Candy? I’d say the Swiss “Milka” milk chocolate squares that hail straight from Switzerland. They’re obviously hard to come by, so when I do get my grubby jaws on some, I go all in.
But wait. Is choco considered candy? I dunno.

  7. I love Mike and Ike’s too! All those gummie candies are pretty amazing – Now and Laters, Starbursts, Swedish Fish. I try and not buy them very often. Easier to steer clear that way.

Sounds like you had a great week! Congrats!

  8. I’m right there with you on not being a chocolate girl. I love assorted candies like skittles, and such! Kudos for you saying no to your FAVE candy! I’m so glad your fitness journey is going well!

  10. Congrats on another good week! I had a great fitness week as well and my eating was pretty good. Ive been doing my push-ups every morning or night, I try to them everyday and I’ve even added in a few reps with my small 8 pound weights. I’ve been pretty consistent with my Zumba and West African dance classes (so happy). I feel like I’m getting back on track and almost feeling like my old self. Next week is a busy week for me , but I’m going to try hard to stay on track no matter what. Cheers to everyone for a great fitness week!!!

  13. Yaaaay to resisting those temptations! I can’t say that I have been doing it! Starburst Jelly Beans are my weakness and over Easter, they have been here in an abundance around my house! I couldn’t resist! My weight still isn’t moving as fast as I want it to, but my inches are going down and I am ecstatic about that!
