This week was cray cray. Not cray cray in the omgalltheseawesomethingsarehappening sort of way but rather the Iam4to5secondsfromwildin kind of crazy.
But enough of that lets chat fitness shall we?
Wednesday: 5 miles
Thursday: Stairmaster & Explosive workout (see below)
Friday: 6.2 miles
Saturday: Zumba (twice! Teaching two classes!!)
I figured I’d start with this one because it sucked. It was bad. Like if I listed what went in my belly in the past 5 days are so you would all give me the sincerest most judgmental looks and I would deserve every single one of them. It really doesn’t help that it’s shark week either. This gif pretty much sums up my eating week, and well–Joey.
I pledge to do better next week. I honestly didn’t feel good after I ate all the junk and I miss that feeling feel good after my meals. #betterdaysahead.
This week I tried something a little bit new. I did my usual Bodypump on Monday (which was HARD btw!) but on Thursday I did a little stairmaster (throwback! Does anyone still use the stairmaster???) then I proceeded to do this strength training workout that is supposed to help runners be faster and more explosive. If my running needs anything it’s speed and fireworks!
I did 3 rounds of circuit A and unfortunately I had to cut it short before I started circuit B because I had exactly 35 minutes to workout due to my work schedule.
I did 5 miles on the mill on Wednesday and I have 6.2 planned for today. This is definitely more miles than last week but not quite where I want to be. I am going on hiatus from teaching Zumba at the end of April and that should free me up for a weekend long run.
Next Saturday is the Scotland 10k. I won’t be able to run much next week as the kids are on Spring Break (boo). I am looking forward to the race as its my first 10k (full loop) around Central Park!
