Friday Fitness Check-In: #Winning

Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! :) Feel free to link up and do your own Friday Fitness Check In where you can keep track of the following:

 

  1. Fitness: Workouts for the week, how did I feel?
  2. Food: Did I eat well? Let’s be honest shall we?
  3. Strength Training: Did I lift weights this week? How many reps and what exercises?
  4. Mind and Motivation: Where am I mentally? What motivated me this week?
  5. Weight: Have I lost weight this week? gained?

Monday: Spin
Tuesday: 3.0M Run/walk
Wednesday: Spin
Thursday: Zumba
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Zumba (instructing)

 

Monday:

Tuesday:

  • Kettlebell swings
  • Kettlebell rows
  • Crunches
  • Crossfit sit-ups
  • Side leg raises
  • Leg raises

Wednesday:

  • Squats w body bar
  • Rows with body bar
  • Shoulder press with body bar
  • Bicep curls with body bar
Thursday:
  • Leg raises
  • Crossfit sit-ups (40!)
  • Side leg raises
  • Abbench

My intake was pretty good this week. When I went to the grocery store I picked up a big tub of earths best organic baby romaine and pretty much piled it on my plate every night, so lots of leafy greens this week which I am proud of because I haven’t been doing my best with vegetables at. All.

I also have been eating like 2 or 3 hundred clementines everyday. I just love a no mess piece of fruit!!

With the exception of my lunch date with one of my girls, my food has been very steady and quite predictable. I’ve given up subway although I do miss it..

I am feeling good this week, a thousand times better than last week. My polar HRM stopped working and me and my polar are BFFs so looking down to find no watch on my arm was just sad. But they are repairing it so I should be back online and most likely instagramming my daily results again :)

Every single workout was HARD this week! My spin teacher on Wednesday had us doing interval sprints for the first 30 minutes of class, ain’t nobody got time fo dat!

I guess I was on my breakthrough last week because I miraculously lost almost 2 pounds this week (say what?!) 1.9 pounds gone this week and I am at my lowest weight so far (postpartum). It feels so good to finally see significant progress on the scale!

Knowing that a whole month has gone by in the past with not even an ounce of loss makes me feel as if I am finally running in the right direction!

  3. Love your outfit! My Polar is super old and I’ve never had a problem. I need to be better about wearing it consistently. I do Instagram the pics when I do as well. Great week!

    • Thanks! I have only had it for 2 months and the transmitter broke–ugh. I had a friend that had the same happen to her. So crazy!

  4. I don’t do the week but I have started doing monthly changes I think I can handle that better. January I gave up soda, I regressed this week *sigh*. February I gave up eating pasta and rice cut that down to once a week. This month I am upping my water intake to at least 2 cups per day. Next month I am going to incorporate meatless days once a week. You are keeping me motivated so keep at it.

    • Thanks Kita, you are so doing it the right way–one habit at a time. Most people go ALL out then give up after a few weeks. you are doing great!
