Checking In From Toy Fair 2014!

Hey Y’all. :)

How are you? Did you enjoy your three day holiday weekend?

The past few days week has been absolutely insane in my world. Things normally run on an absolutely insane axis in my world but these past few days? baby. #teamTURNUP

Right now as you read this I am at Toy Fair 2014. When I signed up for this last month I really had NO CLUE how serious this fair was. I signed up with the mindset of hanging out, playing with some toys and do what I love to do the most on this blog–report back on all the cool new stuff that’s coming for the kids! I will be doing that but I will also be doing SO much more. I think it was a great thing that I went in so green…I am now able to bring a ton of fun to you guys!

What I didn’t know was that there is a whole political blogger underworld to Toy Fair. Unlike when I attended BlogHer for the first time, I adjusted and I did so quickly. I was able to meet with the big Kahuna’s (Mattel, Hasbro, and Crayola) but I was able to meet with some smaller, entrepreneurial toy companies that were just as awesome (if not more so!). NEXT WEEK will be filled with Toy Fair 2014 awesome, so you have been warned!

Since I normally write my blog posts on the way to work and I haven’t been to work since last Wednesday, I haven’t had the chance to sit down and write my heart out for you like I normally do. But never fear, I was able to shoot a vlog at Toy Fair yesterday and I think it came out pretty ok!! I need to do this more often and I think I will actually do this a few more times before the fair ends. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

How was your 3 Day Weekend? Are you able to adjust to situations on the fly? Any toys you are interested in?

  16. Nellie, that was the first time that I listened to your voice! I don’t know that I would have assumed your voice would sound the way it does, but then again, I never thought about it. Loved it! Cracking up laughing at your interruption to talk about your hair. That looks very pretty, by the way! You mentioned the Tamagachi (sp). Are you talking about that computer toy that we used to carry on like a key chain and take care of? I remember having several of those and they were so fun. I’ve been following your fun pics on Instagram. Looking forward to hearing the details about all you saw! :)
