Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! Feel free to link up and do your own Friday Fitness Check In where you can keep track of the following:
- Fitness: Workouts for the week, how did I feel?
- Food: Did I eat well? Let’s be honest shall we?
- Strength Training: Did I lift weights this week? How many reps and what exercises?
- Mind and Motivation: Where am I mentally? What motivated me this week?
- Weight: Have I lost weight this week? gained?
Tuesday: Birthday Bootcamp
Wednesday: Spin + Zumba Practice
Friday: Running/Treadmill (planned)
Saturday: Zumba (instructing) Maybe…blizzard may cancel class?

- Russian Twists
- Those body weight exercises are strength training exercises hidden in cardio
- I got a new song for Zumba, so I did no lifting, just practicing. (besides the fact that I couldn’t barely move after bootcamp lol)
This week was BAD y’all, like really bad. And it AIN’T OVER. Well, Mon, Tues and Wed were pretty normal with the exception of half a slice of birthday cake I had — however, Thursday was pretty brutal. I ate fast food (Wendy’s), and although I stayed in my calorie limit because I skipped dinner (not on purpose, I had a very insane 200 cupcake intricate order that took 6 hours to complete), but I hadn’t had fast food in a really long time. Once in a while is okay right?
Saturday night I will be hosting a fully catered (by my mom and aunties) birthday game night at my house. I will be eating. Lots. It’s my birthday celebration. Points be gone. I WILL be back on plan on Monday…in the meantime however, let’s eat shall we?
—-ETA: The blizzard has postponed my party as well as Zumba to next week, so I will be back to sensible eating this weekend. (At least as sensible as it can get during a blizzard —-
(Oh and that Gluten Free Experiment? Not so much. I mean–what was I thinking going gluten free on Super Bowl Weekend?! I will try again…not this week…ha, but soon!)
I have felt great over the past few days, high energy, clothes fitting well and mentally focused. I am seeing changes in my body that I am very proud of. I got so many compliments this week–one of my girls at work even said to me “You been going to the gym??” You ever want to scream DUHHH at someone? Yes I totally had one of those moments!! But its nice, the compliments. They have no idea how hard I work at the gym– but its nice to get such good words. Spring is coming and I really am on track to getting my sexy back by May/June. If anything, that is motivation alone because I want to be super cute everyday in short sleeves, and skirts, and ALL of that. So the hard work must continue
