Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! 🙂 Feel free to link up and do your own Friday Fitness Check In where you can keep track of the following:

I had a pretty good food week this week. I have been sticking to my oatmeal in the morning (man, once I get into a routine, its hard to break!) I did have a couple of weird hungry moments before dinner and usually my protein shakes hold me down and I can’t say I made the best choice I sort of bought a little bag of junk to stop the hunger–I know, I know. I am a work in progress.
So the hubby sees a show on TV and he is convinced that I need to go gluten free–hmmm. We shall see. I don’t eat a ton of bread (anymore) so it should be interesting trying to do a gluten free diet. I’ve read so many good things about being gluten free, but I’m not sure really if that is the route for me personally. Again, we shall see!
I went to Trader Joe’s and bought some gluten free bread for some panini’s we might be making over the weekend, I tried the Udi’s brand when I went to HealthMinder Day at BlogHer, and it was delicious! Who knew? I’ll let you know if there is any major difference next week.
I felt pretty great this week actually. Been hitting my workouts and feeling good overall. I have also gotten into a really great habit of stretching constantly throughout the day. I will detail a post of this coming up, but stretching really does shift your energy, also as a result of this stretching my sleep has improved dramatically. I have been very motivated this week just to keep going because I feel different, I was stuck in one place for a really good long time right after I had my second child but now I can finally feel things shifting towards the good.
So much of this is solely mental, we can go workout every single day but if you don’t believe that good things are going to happen nothing will actually happen until we believe it will, took me a while to get that, but I totally do now.
This is NOT easy, two young children and a husband to maintain, a full time job and everything else under the sun, I prioritize workouts YES, I have fun doing it too, but man this was much easier to achieve when I was doing nothing else. I got to dig deep to really get where I want to be and if it takes me another year so be it. I am going to do it.
I finally broke through that plateau and lost another .5 pound. The loss is slow but I’ll take it. Still really trying to find the sweet spot for my individual weight loss, but the key is that I am still going 🙂
