The majority of the week found me in meetings for my new business (yay!) and trying to keep up with the boys. The amount of homework they have every weekday is criminal (no seriously, it HAS to be against the law).
After my magical run last Saturday I was SO sore but was back at it on Monday!
Monday: OMG the gym was SO crowded. I went to workout on January 1–NEW YEARS DAY–and it was half the amount of people. Granted, I tinkered around and didn’t actually get there until noon but STILL! The crowd isn’t really an issue for me, yay fitness, but it was the type of crowd that drove me nuts.
I hereby declare these 5 as my top 5 MOST annoying gym personalities:
- The guys gathered around to out-bro each other.
- The women that clearly came to the gym to find a man because there is absolutely NO function to those clothes.
- The people that don’t wipe down the benches after a sweaty lift.
- The people that leave (no lie) 450lbs of weight on the lying leg press machine.
- The people who are sitting on machines with phones….for an hour.
2 Mile Run & Arms
Tuesday: Leg Day! This one was tough! The plan called for narrow squats on the rack and some more supersets that was a total TKO! No cardio today
Wednesday: Chest & Cardio (elliptical)
Thursday: Shoulders & Cardio — Shoulders are always the worst for me as I always mention! My shoulders burn like hot fire whenever I do this workout! I did a strong 4 miles for NYC Half training too!
Friday: Leg Day (part 2!)

Training for the NYC half is going pretty well, I am definitely doing less miles than I thought I’d be at this point but I am doing my best and getting the miles where I can! I also signed up for the Brooklyn Half…again…because it’s one of my FAVORITE races and hands down my favorite expo/pre-party. This will be my third year in a row running it!
