Weekly Wednesday Workout: Burpees With Lateral Hops
Its no secret that I am not a fan of burpees. As a matter of fact, when a fitness instructor is tells me to do them I usually give them a look of raging anger then I proceed to do them anyway. Usually after about 5 of them I am spent and begging for my mommy. However, it is a very effective exercise that works pretty much every area of your body while providing significant cardio benefits as well. They suck, but I do them. Most times its the workout that sucks that gives you the most results!
What I like about this exercise is the jump in between makes things very real 🙂 I love how effortless this chick makes it look, meanwhile, over here I am looking not quite so elegant. I have small box steps at the gym so this is pretty easy to add to the routine. Even if I do a small set of ten, I think that is a great place to start. The only things I have to watch out for is my ankles when I jump from side to side because they are a little bit
