Mama has got to lose some weight!
I’ve been down this road before. I was successful! (really, I was.)
As I have mentioned many times before, (maybe because it makes me feel better when I write it, or maybe because it was one of my biggest life accomplishments, or maybe to remind myself that it actually happened…)
I successfully lost 42 pounds in an 18 month span to get to my lowest weight in adulthood.
If you look at me now however, my body is a far cry from March 2010.
Its as if someone was playing a video game of “how to get Nellie skinny”, they got really far, they were winning in fact, then BAM! A power outage happens and guess what?
We are starting from the beginning.
This time around the magic number is 30.
I won’t bore you with:
- How hard it will be
- how hard I will work
- the obstacles I face
I’ll admit this: It is hella intimidating being on this end of the spectrum again. When you have an uphill battle of losing weight, its easy to feel a bit helpless with a twist of desperate.
The key to this weightloss for me is patience. Four weeks postpartum and I am wanting to get into my pre-pregnancy jeans and pants something fierce! I have to remember that this is a process, a process that I have to stay faithful and committed to or else it won’t work.
All those cute clothes in my closet will have to wait.
I decided to start a series based on said weight loss called “Bye Bye Baby Weight”, to keep me accountable and keep a log of what is working and what is not.
